Ghorpm: What about Dune? It has 2162 votes at the moment and I would love to see it here!

SimonG: Dune II has aged horribly. Unless they mod the "right click to move feature" into it, I'm not playing it again.
He meant Dune 1. In any case, it is highly unlikely for either game to appear here, due to licensing issues.

Ghorpm: No, no! I mean Dune not Dune II. That's completely different game! Dune II is a grand-grand-...-grandfather of RTS games but Dune is unique. I believe nobody made a game like that ever again.
Dune 1 was awesome. I had it on my Sega CD, on of the best games on that system.
And I don't have my copy of Dune anymore... that's why I would like to have it here, that would be an instant purchase.

Too bad that it's probably not going to happen as Gaunathor said. I know nothing about the current problems with licenses so I trust your sources. Too bad again.
Top Contenders in my eyes are:
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Alien Crossfire
Thief: Deadly Shadows
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Pool of Radiance

Not sure about Dune 1, but Dune II is now owned by EA. Still, you would need Frank Herbert's Estate and, I believe, Universal Pictures on board, too.

spinefarm: It is possible if Virgin Interactive owns the IP (We have Virgin right?)
I don't think we got Virgin(that sounds so wrong) but even if we did since Dune is based on a Frank Herbet's novels, a deal would have be made with Frank Herbert's estate to re-use the Dune licence. This would also apply if the game used the licence from the Dune film done by David Lynch since the rights from the film would of reverted back to Frank's estate

Yep the IP rights are so confusing
Hope dies last... so I can dream till... till the next release I guess ;) On the other hand I can dream forever, it's not forbidden, is it? ;)
As cool as another enhanced edition of the Witcher is... It's a game addon/patch/expansion NOT a game release. It's also one that CDProjekt should have done most of the work on and be pushing more than GOG which is meant to be a separate arm. So I don't get it's validity as replacing a proper release. It's like them adding new extras to a game instead of adding one.

It was months ago, but I recall seeing a tweet from one of GOG's lawyers about trying to get EA expansion licenses (and being rather stressed over it ;). I think Vagabond or somebody else made a thread about it.

Yeah if it was THAT one I think each and every user here would probably drop dead from shock.
