Mac Rumors is reporting that Apple's CEO Tim Cook was spotted at Valve's HQ. What's up with that? Is Apple going to be making their new game box?
Hopefully.
Oh goodie, a $600 PC sold for $1500.

Yeah, I doubt it.
ooo, they be plotting!
Or, you know, he could be doing the rational thing and just discuss the state of Valve on Mac OS X.

I'm willing to bet $10 that there won't be any console released by Valve in the next 2 years.
I am using Steam for Mac and I hate it. It sucks. It makes my macbook go crazy, the app itself GUI design is meh , the scroll bar is too fast.

I am not sure how is it on desktops, but in this age and era where people are not moving to laptops , but they are moving to tablets, I wonder how many have Desktops to use Steam on.
iSteam would be about lock step for both companies and lead into the ultimate goal for both, if only they weren't both selfish narcissists.

Valve would love to partner with Apple, but only if they got to control the arrangement and no commitment to remaining partners with Apple.

Apple would love to partner with Valve, but only in return for a controlling stake in Valve's stock.

... my $10 is more on Apple trying to get either iStore games sold on Steam or Steam games sold through the iStore, probably both.
I really don't care. :p

Slowly clearing out my game list on Steam, once I finish all of them, I'm done with it (same goes for all other services, tbh).
Hopefully, if they do come out with a console it will be better than Apple's last attempt. Anyone remember the Pippin?

... You know, I could've sworn I heard about the latter happening already.

But think...you get the knowledge that you are an original, nonconformist while standing in line with all the other original, nonconformists to get version 1 of their widget when version 2 comes out in six months with more features and half the size!

Magical!
In spite of my initial negativity though, I am curious to see how an Apple/Steam alliance would go. Apple's previous console may have been a failure but it did have a lot of potential

Judging by this, 400 fucking dollars for 8 fucking GBs of RAM:

I expect this to cost $10000, your children, and your grandchildren, assuming it actually is real.

0.o Holy crap, I knew Apple was expensive but that is blatant extortion. Especially, compared to what you can get on Newegg
