Wishbone: A game controller means, by definition, shitty FPS controls.
I dunno... For me personally the biggest problem with console FPS is aiming with an analog stick (for which a thumb trackball could be a solution, maybe). I don't necessarily mind replacing WASD with another analog thumbstick, or using the shoulder buttons for jumping/shooting etc.

That is, it isn't necessarily the keyboard that makes PC FPS controls superior, but the mouse.

Foxhack: Ha, no. I meant, I remember reading that Valve already sold games on the iStore. I'm probably mistaken.
I have the Steam mobile app on my galaxy note. Lets me buy Steam stuff and use the chat client, but doesn't actually sell any games for mobile devices yet.

But it would be exciting to see Angry Birds on the first place on the Top Sellers and Stats lists . :p
I don't really think that Apple care that much about Steam not actually need Valve.

If Apple wanted to increase non-casual gaming on Mac they just need to start releasing more games on they own app store, they already have their own "ready for everything fanboys" they don't need to borrow the Steam ones.

IMO the only "gaming" that Apple cares about the is having peoples buying 2$-5$ Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja games on the app store and play them on the iPhone, iPad, iWhatever, they don't give a damn about 60$ games that can only be played on iMac.

If anything I would more see Apple being interested by monstrosity like OnLive as it's closer to their cloud based fully controlled and locked down strategy.
