Waxworks, Downfall, Secret Agent, Chaos Overlords, and many other classics up to 70% off!

Hear ye, hear ye! In case you missed it, spring has arrived and with it comes our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/spring_weekend_promo_160514]May Myriad of Games!! This weekend we are offering a cornucopia of classic titles, ranging from horror in a living wax museum, a cyberpunk dystopia with turn-based gang warfare to a post-apocalyptic point-and-click adventure where Man is a mostly a myth. The temperatures are high (unless you are in rainy Europe) but the prices are low! Let's take a look at the classics we've got lined up for you!

and [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady. Usually, when we write about these kind of promos, we mention one game at a time in these blurbs but these two games should be played together, starting with and then [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady. In Downfall, you, as Joe Davis, will explore a hotel that isn't quite what it seems and you'll encounter many twists and tuns that may warp your psyche just a tad. In The Cat Lady, set in the same universe as Downfall, you'll take on the role of Susan Ashworth as you come to grips with the reality of depression and battle against five Parasites, ruthless psychopaths that wear human forms. If you're a fan of Remigiusz Michalski's psychological horror, you can't pass these stylish adventures by!

Before he was known as the greatest ladies man to grace the Earth, Duke Nukem had his humble beginnings in Duke Nukem 1 +2. With classic side-scrolling platforming action, you'll go through Duke's first forays into video gaming fame. Battle against the fantastically evil Dr. Proton, get kidnapped and fight back against zombifying aliens, and see why Duke wrote a book called "Why I'm So Great".

It wouldn't be spring without a bit of chaos! If you're looking for a classic cyberpunk turn-based strategy game, you can't go wrong with Chaos Overlords. You'll wage war against rival overlords sending out your gangs against theirs in a tense war of influence over a vulnerable city.

Each game's a classic in our May Myriad of Games! Grab a wide variety of games for up to 70% off until Tuesday, May 20th 3:59 AM GMT. Spring is in the air!
Yikes!

GOG must really want me to spend money this month! Between the Insomnia Sale and this promo, I think I eliminated about 10 games from the wishlist! THAT is making progress!

'course, I am trying very very hard to NOT think about the bill that will be due next month... XD
Not bad.
Any opinions on Chaos Overlords?

The only flaw of this game I can see is that there is no tabletop version :) The game is surprisingly deep and there are many different styles that you can master. For example you can start spawning gangs and try to eliminate your rivals as soon as possible. You can, however, take your time, invest heavily in research, equip just a few gangs with incredible stuff and kill everybody without taking any significant damage. And that's still a tip of the iceberg :)

Reading a manual is probably necessary here but don't worry - old manuals are actually fun to read. I may also mention that there are so many different gangs to hire and even though some of them are useless their descriptions are awesome! Whoever designed it did a great job! You can really feel this struggle between different factions in the game!

What I also loved about it is how it perfectly captured the nature of gangs war - everything may fluctuate so fast that it can give your head spin! You may control half of the city and after few rounds you may be forced to defend your last sector! It's amazing how many times areas of influence changes during one gameplay :) Don't get me wrong - it's not that everything happen randomly. No, your choices and good strategy do matter a lot! It's just that if you want to evaluate your performance you should consider longer time scale (like 10 rounds or so) because one or two rounds is usually not enough: for example if you gain control over six sectors in two round don't be so happy about it because it's somewhat doubtful that you'll be able to defend them and in the end you may lose even more just because your gangs are scattered all over the city.

I can wholeheartedly recommend it!
i'm thinking to take downfall. any opinions?
Wow, I waited for a long time to get some games reduced to a budget price, thank you GOG:

My haul (I purchased them normally..)
- Personal Nightmare
- Dangerous Dave Pack
- Catacombs Pack
- Secret Agent
- Hocus Pocus ( loooooooong time wait :)
- Duke Nukem 1+2

Thanks GOG!
Hey, Apogee and 3D Realms stuff! Let's see what I can bring up about that.

More highly-desired games from here, pls - http://www.buy3drealms.com/. Wacky Wheels, Death Rally, Cosmo, Bio Menace (as a freebie), and various others that have at least 100 wishlist votes (that's my criteria, anyways).

Nice one - cheers!

Definately sounds like something I need to grab then. :)
Grabbed Downfall for free, thought it was supposed to be. Sorry about that, but I bought nine other games to make up for it.
