"The beta will be on Windows only at first and will be distributed directly from us or through a service that's more prepared for alpha/beta testing like Desura.
And finally, though it's too early to gaurantee anything about the final release, we hope to have FTL available on Windows, Mac, and Linux at the same time. We hope that it will be sold through most popular services (like Steam, Desura, GamersGate, OnLive, etc), but we will prepare a DRM free option as well."
Looks like they are going to do a DRM free option as well as distribute it through the standard online distributing platforms.
