That's really sad as it looked like a stellar game.

What happened? Sounds like from the guy on the Steam forum, the developers knew it wasn't ready to publish but the publisher pushed them to do it anyway? Or am I mis-reading something?

Crosmando: They released it in a completely unfinished, broken, bug-ridden near unplayable state. Half the game is still untranslated and is still in German.
SHEESH. Alright, well, thank you GOG's quality control. (assuming basically everyone else agrees with Crosmando ;)

Bloodygoodgames: Weirdly, growing up and learning French, my favorite word was 'prestidigitateur' (magician in English). Thought it was so cool :) And never forgot it.

I'll trade you -- my favorite Thai phrase is "Som Nam Naa" -- it means "Serves You Right" :)

Well I'm assuming it's buggy based on other reports, and apparently half the spells aren't even implemented, if you use a spell in combat you just get a "spell not implemented" error message. I can't really personally say how buggy the gameplay is as I can't even play the game for more than a few minutes without crashing desktop with stuff like this:

From what I understand (from the Steam thread), they were planning to make a Day-0 patch but something went wrong and they lost precious time and were only able to make a minor Day-0 patch.

sebarnolds: To me it is unlikely that it is Blade of Destiny HD. It seems they were planning to release a game at the usual time (or one hour later). If that game is the mess I heard, a few hours wouldn't be enough to fix it.

jamyskis: I think the 'technical problems' are from having to try and find a replacement that was due to be replaced later and switch the releases out, sort out website artwork etc.
That's what I thought after having posted. They're trying to release another game.

Ok, and I suspect it's pronounced completely differently. I learned how to say cheers in Viet in a restaurant lately.
"Một Hai Ba - ZO!" Still, thanks to you my favourite Thai word is now ham.

When I started learning Polish (unfortunately forgot so much already), our teacher gave us this short sentence to practice speeking... none of us managed to speak it out correctly :-)

Chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie w Szczebrzeszynie

Although for you in Poland that might be nothing special, I guess. Isn't it a part of a song for children or so?

It really is a shame. Still, I presume they'll eventually fix it, and those who didn't pre-order will benefit.

I knew there was a reason why I never ever ever pre-order. :)
