I always thought that I'd buy it on GoG. But Valve was faster. Too bad.

Dammit GoG, they've had Vangers for weeks now too.

I want top men working on this, right now.

TOP MEN.
Ninjad!
Fuck yes!

GOG, god damnit....
Let's just hope Steam doesn't get ZZT faster too. :B

Kamikave:
Release date: Jun 6, 2014...

So perhaps GOG will be doing a Friday release that day and just haven't announced it.
That interface looks rather atrocious, if we DO get the game as well, I'd much rather have the DOS version.

tburger might be flipping. Me, if I found out GOG somehow let the ball drop on this, I'll be frustrated, but it's also possible Kavcom might go nuts like Team17 and charge 9.99 or 14.99, even for a DOS release. (Would you pay 9.99 for this game? My thinking is it ought to be 5.99.)

For now I'm just kind of internally, somewhat-dejectedly shaking my head without knowing all the facts.
Side note, Postal 3 is on sale, anyone ever play that?

The Steam page has been up for weeks now (I think this is the 4th or so thread about this), and by all accounts, Kavcom has been interested in GOG since 2011. It's just that the game itself hasn't been ready till now:

I have to wonder what the hold-up could have been, then. EDIT: And why GOG couldn't have gotten a period of exclusivity. EDIT2: Unless GOG gets it at least a week in advance, maybe.

Did Z have to go through Greenlight to get on Steam?

No
But isnt it by all reports pretty crappy?
If GOG is getting it it's kind of ugh on their part to not announce anything. I can get the secrecy when it comes to certain releases that they don't want Steam to copy on sales, but not for everything.

Side note, it's not DRM-Free.
If you can't find a game on this list, avoid it like the plague.
