Not sure what you are doing wrong but they are really really easy.
low rated
just another cry baby
I haven't had the chance to play yet due to being stuck at work, but hearing that QTE's are in game disappoints me. It really is a lousy game mechanic that was never fun to begin with, and I cant wait for this fad to die out.
Ehm, the bar fights are incredibly easy. I have won all and have been hit like 2 times in act 1....Playing on moderate difficulty. I think you need to practice mate.
To everyone hating QTE's because they're to hard and distract you from gaming - go to gameplay options and uncheck the "difficult QTE" box.

To everyone just hating the whole game because of the QTE on principle, no matter what the rest of it is - that is your opinion, you're entitled to it, but what can we do about that? Ya should've watch the dev diaries and press conference content, you'd know there are QTEs

cry baby they are, cannot manage to have a quick reflex. I love QTE and the arm wrestling thing so much. It is along adds hours of replayable time for me
Difficult QTE in the options only turns off the qte that come out of nowhere and kill you if you fail afaik. They don't change the fighting qte or any of the ones you have to rapidly click over and over at all.

As for the fighting qte, they are laughably easy and make the whole fighting mini-game a laborious joke. However, part of me is starting to think that maybe there is a bug some people are getting that is causing the qte not to function correctly. This isn't the first person describing what sounds to be like a glitchy qte.

And believe me, this game is buggy and glitchy as all heck. I don't think it's unreasonable to think thats whats going on.

Boaleisk: I would also make sure that the game is running at a playable framerate. I had problems with SSOA on causing the framerate to occasionally dip below 15, it was also causing problems with some of the QTEs as, due to the extra lag, I wasn't pressing the buttons in time. Once I sorted out the fps issue the QTEs became trivial.
So much this. I've had a lot of problems getting into this game because of the difficulty. Problems pretty much solved when I finally admitted to myself that framerate was more important than shinies. Running with a constant 40fps everything became much much easier.
I got beat hard on the first couple fights but I rarely get hit now...just need to adapt to it

Yea I agree..I thought more difficult combinations would occur as you fight more difficult opponents, ah well.

I don't agree the game is buggy as all heck..I really have only come across a small handful and I usually encounter a lot of bugs with big releases.

The QTE's are quite buggy on my PC, they are simply impossible to do. I'm stuck on the escape scene of the tutorial, where you have to fight the guards. I always get one by provoking him, but the other beats the crap out of me.

The reason? every little letter that appears in the QTE appears for 0.1 second. quite hard, eh?

I'm going to try installing the patch 1.1, and I'll tell you guys what's the outcome.

I sometimes let fistfighters try to hit me so I can counterattack. Or just hit me. It's no challenge at all. UNless you talk about the Kayran. Each key (W,S,A,D) is linked to where the event pop's up. If you can't handle QTE's in TW2 you probably couldn't handle TW1. Since you had to timely link the combos.

If anyone thinks these QTE's are bad, go and play Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), that will re-define the meaning of bad.

Nothing is worse than the final Beyond Good & Evil battle, though, where your conrols are reversed.

If you were using a controller you could turn it upside down, but it was still REALLY annoying.

I LOVE THAT GAME. And I don't even remember that.
