Seems like I'm not the only one 'foaming at the mouth'.

You never said anything about bugs, but the person you decided to quote and tell off sounded like he could well be talking about a bug. So why are you jumping to conclusing and telling other people off for?

There's a few ways you can 'find yourself stuck' in the middle of monsters
Combat freezing is one of them, stupid terrain is another. You run onto a spot that looks like you can run out, but you end up blocked with a monster behind you and stupid terrain in front of you.

As for harpies, yes you can get stuck in the cave with harpies. But i've had the bunch which appear after the cut scene spawn around me. Of course, easy to avoid if you know that can happen and start moving as soon as the cut scene fades.

Last time i checked, cut scene timing and monster spawn formation are all technical issues. And the game is full of little issues that can screw you over (not sure if i'd even call the combat freezing one 'little')

That's like saying "I want to play Diablo 2 on Hardcore diff but I don't want my char turned into a Ghost if he dies. Is there a way to hack Battle.net for that?"

My suggestion, don't play Hardcore modes until you're prepared to
1) do your best to not die - which includes studying builds and tactics suitable for best survivability
2) be prepared to restart immediately after the death of a character and make the new witcher even better than before. - that also helps to overcome the grief period. =)

Look on a bright side too, as long as you are making past Elven Baths you can at least say that Geralt died a happy man :)

etc.
Reminded me of something funny, I think it was in a walkthrough for Wizardry 7, talking about a bug where you can get unlimted thermal pineapples (cast a powerful high level wizard spell, only supposed to be one) the author said, 'don't forget, it's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!'

:)

(I can't see why anyone would have a problem with how you play your own SP game, BTW, me, I'm looking forward to Dark Mode too, because I know I'll die on Insane :P)
