Only with Vsync enabled

When moving forward, randomly the environment noticeably hitches/stutters. The screen appears to skip a frame.

I'm running at a constant 60 FPS with Vsync but it hitches while moving. Have Crossfire 5870's with latest hot fix, clean install.

Anyone else notice this?

I get it without, and only post patch.

I noticed it before the patch, I was hoping the patch would fix it but it didn't.

I also did a reinstall.
I get it now only after patching.

*sigh*.. it's not fixing anything this patch, but it's sure breaking stuff.
I'm gonna reinstall without the patch and see...

Same here, with the retail version. My frame rate is improved, but now I get this hitching that FRAPS doesn't seem to record but it's clearly visible. In some areas it's unnoticeable, in others it's rather irritating, like heading towards the bridge in Chapter 1.

Yeah, sometimes butter smooth, other times very distracting. I'd definitely rather this overall, but sure would be nice to see fixed.

Ya its happening without the patch, for me at least...
I get it too, with or without Vsync..post 1.1 patch
I've had this since release, definitely a bit bothersome. No Vsync. Lowering settings doesn't make any difference.

For me it's really noticeable right at the start of the assault on the castle at the beginning of the game (right after you exit the siege tower) when looking at the distant landscape outside the castle walls.

My system mostly meets the recommended specs:

ATI 4870, 2 GB of RAM (below recommended), Vista 32-bit, Q6600 at stock speed. Game runs fine otherwise!

Edit: Using the GOG.com version!

Any Nvidia users getting the micro-stuttering?

I am.

It might just be the placebo effect, but if I use FPS limiter to cap the frame rate to 30 the hitching seems to be less noticeable. It's still there, not as smooth as pre-patch, but more playable than it was.

I have a very similar system, C2Q 6600 + 4870 (1GB), but with 4GB ram on XP Pro, and yep, I get the stutter. It's been there all along for me too. Has anyone who's applied the hotfix noticed any difference?
I have the latest 11.5b hotfix and get the stutter

I'll chime in as well. I'm using ATI 11.5b. Post patch = stuttering, or jerky movement with OR without V-sync. Makes me dizzy! Super noticeable in Flotsam forest. Is it prevalent in further chapters?

Edit: Retail version
