sounds good. Any dev mention this?
Just saw this on a games forum I frequent. Wonder what that entails? I would love all the kinks in the combat to be ironed out (button delays and animation priorities) if they haven't yet.

Barring that and some new quests, a performance boost for those of us with mid-range machines would be great considering how vastly they improved performance of the first Witcher game over the years.
As I wrote on the STEAM forums:

Hopefully, in this patch, the geese will emerge from the shadows wherein they lurk, quacking, so that we can give chase them in the streets of Vergen and in the forest of Flotsam!
Hopefully they finally add the individual sound options to tweak so I can finally raise just the vocal track and lower the rest so I can actually hear people speak over the extra loud SFX track.
Main priorities are:
a) fixing the combat delays
b) delivering an sdk

If they don't do at least one of those, then the 2.0 patch is a failure
Hopefully this means they have a team working on a PC friendly UI as well as fixing the combat/improving the atmosphere. Since it specifically mentions PC this has to mean a new and improved pc friendly UI as well as replacing the console elements that pissed a lot of people off. Not sure what else it could mean.

I think its great news that they are standing by their product. We'll see what becomes of this next week when they announce.

**Not sure how they are going to do it since it would conflict with being able to play on a PC with an xbox controller..maybe it will ask what you prefer? Seems like a big undertaking, perhaps 2.0 is meaning improved combat/performance/environment etc that seems more realistic.

yeah, I loved all those geese and other birds (and monkeys!) from TW1, would be cool to see some more again :)
"2.0" usually indicates an overhaul so complete as to make every aspect of the game unrecognizable from any "v1.x" version. It's like saying "second generation", as opposed to "heavily modified".
Most likely it is the Xbox content ported over to the pc, as promised by CDPR.
I doubt its an expansion, way too early for that.

scampywiak: I doubt its an expansion, way too early for that.
Why?
If it's anything substantial I doubt it will be coming soon

Maybe early next year

Remember around May they said the forum would be soon too ;)

I don't think they've really had the time to do anything substantial to make it new and improved especially when working on the xbox version

I don't remember how long it took them to make the enhanced edition of TW1 but I'm guessing it was at least a year
It's not a patch or DLC.

It's for the new version of "Riverside - Forgotten Land" video.
