Metropolis Street Racer

Metropolis Street Racer (2000)

by Bizarre Creations, Sega
Genres:Simulator, Racing
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:Gameplay in MSR is centred around the single-player mode, with tracks and cars in the multiplayer mode being unlocked at the same time as in the single-player game. The premise is that, as a street racer, the player must impress other drivers with quick but stylish driving in a series of challenges. These challenges are in sets of ten (called Chapters - there are 25 in total), with completion of all challenges opening the next chapter (assuming the player has enough Kudos, see below) and unlocking a new car. Each challenge is on a different track, and unlocking a challenge unlocks that track in the time-attack and multiplayer modes.Show more

Nice music, realistic cities and fun challenges. Game is perfect as a time killer. I really like car physics in this game. For that time it was awesome. All tracks have realistic time, so you can start in the morning and stop playing at night. It's counts even if track in a different time zone.

Still my go to comparison racing game. Fantastic music, locations, tracks and cars. Earning Kudos points for extra flamboyant driving just made every lap better!

True Crime: Streets of LA
True Crime: Streets of LATrue Crime: Streets of LA is a free-roaming driving and action game similar in concept to Grand Theft Auto III. The game's structure is mission-based; most of the missions are dictated by the story and initiate following a cutscene that advances it. Failing a mission still allows the player to continue playing through the chapter and undertake subsequent missions; in some cases this will lead to branching paths and optional missions. However, in order to complete the whole chapter the player must eventually succeed in all the main missions.

Motocross MadnessMotocross Madness is a extreme sport racing simulation. The game is known for its realism, including terrain, audio, and "bone-chilling" motorcycle wrecks. If the player is in Stunt mode, goes out of bounds, and gets on a large cliff, an "invisible slingshot" will cause the player and the bike fly across while a funny sound plays until both objects will hit the ground.
