In 24 years I haven't gotten BoFIV out of my head: the best sprite art the PS1 ever saw, the dragon ball-like transformations and battles - well-paced and turn-based capped with the intricate combo system. The main quest and cast; Kahn, my beloved Ershin, and the tragedy of Fou-Lu are personal highlights. And the breadth of charming mini-games on offer (Fairy town sim and actually fun fishing stand out) complete the package. Music-wise watch the trailer and tell me that intro doesn't fill your heart with yearning, I'll replay BoFIV sometime in the near future one way or another, would love to buy a BoF collection to do so and show Capcom I care.

This DOES have a PC version! Capcom and SEGA are notorious for having one-off PC versions of their historic catalogue even if those versions aren't exactly great representations of the game or franchise. I would hope GOG reaches out to these publishers to look into preserving them for modern platforms!

Loved this game back in PSX era. I remember playing the whole game in japanese since it was the first version to arrive here in Brazil for some reason. When the US version came out, I played it all over again and this time understanding a little bit of the story. This is one of my all time beloved JRPGs and I would love to have this immortalized with GOG.

Truly one of the best JRPGs of its time. With a beautiful art direction, wonderful animations and a pastel color palette. Truly an inspiration for me who aspires to create pixel art as gorgeous as this game's. The combat system is also super interesting with its combo mechanic. And the story remains interesting the whole way through. Played this on my PSP not too long ago and I really hope this comes back on gog so more people can experience it, as the old PC version does not run on modern hardware...

I got really good at this game but my ps5 been heating up so I couldn’t play it recently, I wish the devs would keep trying to add new characters and not give up, I actually enjoy this game it would be a shame to waste

Years ago, while looking on GOG for some good JRPGs (my favorite genre), there were (and still are!) not many to be found and I came to the realization that Japanese developers and publishers don't like the PC platform in general and are so obsessed about "protecting" their game (against piracy, modders...) that the situation was unlikely to improve, and it sure didn't that much. The only exception to that sad situation is, up to now, Nihon Falcom. No matter who is publishing them, all their games have been made available on GOG, and those past few years all of them on Day 1. I've been vocal on the forum towards NISA and their terrible pricing but at least they had the decency to keep the tradition alive and keep releasing Falcom games here. I had a lot of great times these past 5 years playing the Trails series, the Ys series and Tokyo Xanadu. Sure, Falcom games are not perfect, far from it actually, they are not masterpieces despite hardcore fans trying to convince the world otherwise but I would say they have a lot of charm, are fun to play and I'm looking forward to continue exploring future Falcom games. Unfortunately, it appears that Falcom decided to switch to a new publisher (GungHo) for "Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake", a publisher that doesn't seem to be willing to release any of their games on GOG. I hope GOG will manage to work their magic and convince this publisher to release here at least whichever Falcom games they have already licensed or will license in the future, but if not and Falcom keeps licensing their games to GungHo, I guess it'll be time for me to part ways with those franchises. I'm looking forward to the release of "The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon" by NISA later this year and really hope it won't be my last Falcom games. Love to you all Trails, Ys and Falcom fans on GOG.

Terranigma is among the most outstanding SNES titles of all time. What impresses me the most about it is that it was clearly built on a thematic bedrock. Every decision made by the developers stemmed from an unmistakable central vision, which is mirrored and strengthened everywhere. Every detail feels lovingly handcrafted, and all of it is created in service to that foundational motif, that bedrock that grounds every aspect of the game into just the most beautiful message on Earth. That said, articulating what this game is really about is really difficult. The developers used the term "duality" to describe it, but I honestly feel like it goes so much deeper than that. This game sets out to help the player understand the beauty and sanctity of life and enables you to gain an appreciation for your own unique life experiences. It does this from the perspective of the planet itself, giving an absolutely unique view of humanity for this era of gaming. Terranigma communicates its message through a feeling, through abstraction that speaks to the emotions rather than the intellect. It does this through quiet and subtle means—things like the consequence of player choices and well-constructed symbolism that contains incredible depth. Terranigma's soul exists in the feeling generated by these contemplative moments and the lovely soundtrack that accompanies them. This game makes me laugh, it gives me rushes of nostalgia for the time of my childhood, it's exciting and fun to play—very well designed—but it also makes me tear up when the credits roll, generating a deep sense of sadness and finality that are difficult to shake. It's a game that leaves a lasting impression and stands as one of my favorites of all time. While there may not be many who have recognized the efforts of the brilliant developers at Quintet, I want to give them my recognition now, and thank them for such a remarkably crafted work of art. If you haven't played Terranigma, I could not recommend it more.

Fury of the Furries

This is one of the grandfathers of platforming and a really unique one, with different Furries (fluff ball like aliens with wacky colors and abilities), each color having a different abilities, like a fire breathing red one and a green one that swings from a rope it shoots, like Spider-man. You were to solve and survive many different levels and each one was a challenge, mind you. It had so much personality that it can easily be a cartoon series. Gameplay is like Lost Vikings with more action, the furries trying to serve their king and blazing through many levels with different concepts. It also has a sequel in the works with a gameplay trailer too. This is a solid and classic Good Old Game that it is despicable that it is not already on GOG. It is one of the forgotten classics of platforming which was so much ahead with it's gameplay and a must play for the lovers of the genre.

Second to none, Wildstar was the greatest MMO I've played in 30 years. The housing system, music, dungeons and raids were truly incredible. I've never been hooked like this. PvP was very fast skill based combat. Truly an epic game.

DOOM 2016 is on GOG, so this certainly should be as well. The way I see it, Eternal is effectively what a video game sequel should be: Improved gameplay mechanics, more weapons, and (obviously for DOOM) new and far more demons and types of demons to meet - and rip and tear. Some people apparently criticized Eternal for being over-the-top. But isn't that more or less what DOOM has always been all about?

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 3

I bought and played True Fear 1 and 2 from GOG and I really loved this game and I really hope GOG picks up part 3. I much prefer to continue my purchase of True Fear: Forsaken Souls 3 from GOG than elsewhere.

Listen, cupcake, this messy masterpiece simply demands a PC port. The monster designs might feel uninspired when compared to other SH games but the character-work is actually amazing. In my eyes, the memorability of these characters is on par with SH2.

Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber

Ogre Battle is just one of those special titles that I feel should have had a major influence in strategy gaming, but never really did. The combat system in the original was very unique and made even better in this sequel due to more choices in classes, items, and I believe more monster recruitment. The story was also, I feel, far more interesting than the original (won't get into spoilers) but it gripped me from mission one. I spent hours and hours in front of my hand me down CRT TV beating this game multiple times and slowly understanding that my choices in the game effected my ending. There is a system called the chaos frame that can rise and fall depending on who your character fights, what level they are when they do the fighting and which of your units captures the enemy towns. Honestly it was frustrating when I finished my first run and got the bad ending. I just didn't understand how the hero was viewed as a villain. It was the time of the early early internet so it was a little difficult to find answers but eventually I did and that opened up a whole new way to play the game. They probably should have had some sort of tutorial about this but that was a time where tutorials were pretty rare and you just had to figure stuff out, which I appreciate a lot more as an adult. This game, along with suikoden 2, really influenced my way of approaching game development and D&D dungeon mastering. These two games showed me what a good war story is. It's not about the war itself, it is about the people fighting in it and the relationships they make with each other. It's also about having good villains and not becoming one yourself out of your desire to do good. I think about this game at least once a week and how much I wish we got a sequel or that this title was more widely available. I don't know how you would work your magic, bringing this N64 title back from the dead and putting it on PC no less, but let's make it happen!

I bought inZOI on Steam, but I’d much rather own it through GOG. On Steam, I’m just licensing the game—I don’t truly own it. I can’t fully download and play it offline on my own terms, and that defeats the spirit of ownership. Back in the day, we could buy games on CD or DVD and just play. Sure, game sizes have grown since then, but that shouldn't be used as an excuse to strip away players' rights. Yes, games are IP—but when you buy something like a TV, a washing machine, or even a $10 hair dryer, you own it. The manufacturer or the retailer (like Steam) doesn’t retain control over your use. Why should games be any different? That’s why I’ll always support GOG—for standing by gamers and the principle that if you buy something, you should own it. DRM has no place here. Pirates will always exist, but punishing paying customers with restrictive DRM like Denuvo only makes things worse. It breaks more than it protects. So thank you, GOG. Keep doing what you’re doing. There’s a reason I own the same games here instead of anywhere else.

Yakuza: Dead Souls

I genuinely love Yakuza: Dead Souls. It's a self-aware, goofy zombie spin-off featuring all your favorite characters from Yakuzas 1-4, plenty of good humor and hilarious substories (including one of my personal favorites in the series), and surprisingly decent gunplay. This game deserves to actually be played instead of treated as a black sheep by people who haven't actually experienced it, it's actually pretty fun/funny. Save this from the PS3, I beg of you!

A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Silent HillSilent Hill is the first installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the main character Harry Mason is an average man. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The controller vibration is used to indicate Harry's heartbeat and will vibrate on low health. The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

In a far-away world, two continents float, separated by a vast swamp-land. For eons, no contact existed between the two continents because ships couldn’t sail across the expanse. At last, when the historic first contact was made between the two powers, war erupted! After long and costly fighting between the Fou Empire in the west and an alliance of countries in the east, both sides exhausted all their strength and resources. With no other alternative, the two powers agreed to an armistice. One year later, Princess Elina vanished. She had been traveling in the east from town to town, exploring battlegrounds and visiting war veterans. Her trail vanished in a small town near the front line. Nobody knew her whereabouts! The Eastern Alliance wanted to avoid sending a large army to the front. Such a move would be a political blunder, breaking the armistice and stirring up hostilities. It became impossible to carry out a large-scale search for Elina. Time passed... with no sign of the princess. Elina’s sister, Princess Nina, finally makes up her mind. She leaves on a journey in search of her sister – by herself. Ryu Ryu meets Nina while he is lying unconscious on a street in a desert town in the eastern continent. His race and native land are unknown. Ryu has a Dragon’s Eye, which empowers him with the amazing abilities to transform into a dragon and summon dragons. Nina The princess of Wyndia, a town of the Fae tribe (winged folk). Nina meets Ryu on her journey to seek her lost sister Elina. Though somewhat naïve, Nina is skilled in Healing magic. Scias A mercenary soldier, Scias was hired by the eastern side during the war. Scias becomes the party’s watcher. He is very quiet and aloof from the world. Scias can perform a powerful double attack with his sword. Cray A young leader of the Woren tribe (cat people) in the eastern alliance, Cray joins Nina to search for Princess Elina, his childhood friend. He has a strong sense of responsibility and acts as the leader of the party. His high offensive and defensive abilities are very dependable. Ershin Ershin wears completely sealed armor to protect her from any kind of curse. Since she wears the armor all the time, no one knows her real face or background. She meets the party in a mysterious place polluted by a curse and decides to join them. Ursula Ursula is a middle-class leader of the Fou Empire. She came to the eastern continent in search of dragons, and meets up with Ryu and his companions. Ursula was brought up in the military, and knows very little about worldly concerns. She is excellent at attacking with both magic and weapons. Fou-Lu Fou-lu unified the western continent single-handedly with his paranormal powers. He became the first emperor of the Fou Empire several hundred years ago. Despite his youthful look, he has mystic dignity. It is said that he predicted his own resurrection as he passed away. If you cannot find a game already on the list please use this form to add it to the list for everyone to vote.

Can I vote for more than one game?

Yes, you can vote for multiple games, but only once per game.

Why should I vote?

Each vote shows community interest and signals to IP owners that releasing their game on GOG is a valuable opportunity.

How can I learn about the status of the game on the Dreamlist?

Currently, we can’t disclose the business status of a game before its release due to the complexity of the process and the potential negative impact this could have on our efforts. However, we’re working on a feature that will let you track the games you’ve voted for once they’re released.

Does high number of votes for a game mean that it will be released sooner?

A high number of votes shows strong interest, which influences both GOG and IP owners. However, we can’t guarantee that every highly-voted game will be released.

How does my vote help to preserve games?

All games on GOG are DRM-free, so you can download and back them up for future use. Additionally, we aim to include as many games as possible in the GOG Preservation Program, ensuring classic titles remain playable on modern systems.

What happens with Stories once the game is released on GOG?

We’re working on a solution to migrate Stories to GOG.COM game cards once the game is released: we won’t let them get lost.
