Ride to Hell: Retribution 6 votes

A complete disaster of a game, featuring bad writing and a confusing plot, random explosions, fully clothed sex scenes, and is probably one of the worst games released in 2013. Yet it has a hilarious charm to it.

Turn-based 4X game from 1995 that still has a strong following. Manage resources, planet production and fleets. Customizable races based on different traits. Customizable ships based on traits, tech advances and trading. It has quite a lot of depth, but succeeds on keeping things simple. Perfect for PBEM.

An atmospheric adventure game where you play a dog. Yes, you play a dog, brilliant! It was developed by a small Australian developer, which probably explains why the game has never gotten the attention it deserves. Instead of a scroll in the shape of “hand”, in this game we have a “paw”. Just look at the screenshots and I am certain it will catch any adventure gamer’s interest! This is the very definition of a rare gem and rights probably are still owned by the Australian developers. Perfect fit for GOG catalogue...

In this WWII game it's your mission to infiltrate German occupied territory with your squad of military misfits. The missions are set in 1942-45 France, North Africa, Norway and other war-ravaged locations. The game plays amazingly like Hidden & Dangerous though it's only a low-budget title.

The player is Max, an American journalist in Paris. There seems to be a story at hand, about a big drug dealer who is covered by some influential person in politics. To get the dealer talking, the player offers him a photography in exchange for some information. But when the player gets there, the druglord is dead and everyones on their back - mistaking them for the killer.

The game itself is a movie adventure on four CD-ROMs, dividing gameplay in Clue- and Action-turns. The player can control the game completely via mouse.
