JoeSapphire: BLARGHLGLGGRHLABLARGGLY NODOUBLEPOSTING!!!!!!

megapunch supplementscene

Lifthrasil: Now I'm interested to see whether that counts as a vote in this game too. Or whether brawling in boot-camp is forbidden.
This is not some silly pokemon game here. Arstotzkan boot camp is serious business, man.

No attacks, just votes.

PoppyAppletree: ZFR might want to link the MafiaScum wiki in the OP, since I don't recall seeing it - it's a very useful resource, especially when it comes to uncommon roles like the Innocent Child.
Technically there is one already to the C9++ format. I'll add a general one though.

Also added 2 new rules. They're pretty much standard but just wanted them to be there so everything is clear.
For reference, HSL and Hunter are still yet to post, so they're currently our lurkiest lurkers. I don't know anything about Hunter, so I'll vote HSL given that he's the most likely from my knowledge to sit back and let Town trade blows if he is scum. (Though he's also very strong at appearing Town, so when he does start posting I'm sure my read will become a lot muddier.)

Also, can we get a vote count for our current RVS votes?
avatar
PoppyAppletree: ...........

- flub's likely to be night killed sooner or later. You can be sure he'll be killed within a few days as the scum try to deprive us of information.
..........
I'm not following your logic.

Why would mafia surely kill a confirmed town with literally zero power??

I am a voting treestump. I have nothing mafia fears except my vote.

I could maybe see if the game went to a LYLO situation my death would allow doubts to be cast. But all in all I'm not much more than a player used to narrow the field of suspects.

You now have my focus.

PoppyAppletree: I much prefer to play games where I'm not in the same room as the other players. Because I can see sounds and only power roles and werewolves shuffle about during the night, situations where I serve up 2/3 werewolves for the slaughter are a bit too common. I think that actually having to think about people's playing behaviour and use something resembling skill is more fun. :)
avatar
SirPrimalform: Oh yeah, I would totally hear the mafia doing their thing if we didn't all make a buttload of noise to cover it up. When playing mafia with Joe we all slap our thighs without rhythm in order to cover that stuff up.

Vote trentonlf for hammering me in the last game. :P
Well you were my second choice at that moment for scum, hindsight is I should have waited and stuck with my gut on Lift.

I’m disappointed in the lack of activity, hopefully the weekend is not super slow. I’ll be here all weekend, checking in as often as I can.
Votecount:

flub - 1: Bookwyrm
Hunter - 1: trentonlf
Poppy - 1: Lift
Bookwyrm - 1: gogtrial
supplementscene - 1: JoeSapphire
trentonlf - 1: SirPrimalform
HSL - 1: PoppyAppletree

Everyone else - 0
Not voting: everyone else

13 players. It takes 7 votes to achieve lynch.

flubbucket: flubbucket is a model citizen.......you do have the wrong person.
Not according to your avatar, he doesn't.

trentonlf: Well you were my second choice at that moment for scum, hindsight is I should have waited and stuck with my gut on Lift.
Don't worry, it's just an RVS vote.

Or is it..?
avatar
trentonlf: It’s awesome to see you playing again my friend!!
Thank you, glad to be back after long time away :)

avatar
trentonlf: So, are you scum?
Oh man you funny guy

avatar
JoeSapphire: Damn it's really nice to be in a game where we just don't have to worry about flubbucket!
I haven't been around for a couple of months and I was worried about him all the time. Sounds good, doesn't work.

avatar
Dessimu: First scum to reveal a fellow scum, gets to see how Flub looks like on Saturday morning. Golden offer, one time chance though.
That IS a good offer. Seen it, 5/7 would recommend.

flubbucket: Why would mafia surely kill a confirmed town with literally zero power??
Let them if they feel like it.

Because a confirmed townie gives the town power, we know who not to vote for. Sure, it's probably not worth them killing you on the first night, but you can bet that you're not going to make it through to the end game, just like they'd want to get rid of cop-confirmed townies.

I find your focus bizarre and I would totally switch my vote to you at this point if I didn't know you were town.

Slap flubbucket about a bit

ZFR: [...] flubbucket is a model citizen. He's a respected member of society and a pillar of his community. [...]
Amazing what a few rounds of bourbon can do; well done, flubbucket.

avatar
PoppyAppletree: [...] You can be sure he'll be killed within a few days as the scum try to deprive us of information. [...]
Do tell, what information would we be deprived of with the death of flubbucket?

avatar
dedoporno: [...] I need to refresh my memory on how this game is played tonight...
Heh.

avatar
gogtrial34987: [...] [...]
What is this? Some sort of Kolechian code-talk? Because, Arstotzkan it is not!

avatar
gogtrial34987: Any early thoughts to share on the people who're not lurking? Any interactions that seem somewhat artificial to you? What do you think about how helpful Poppy is with answering your questions? Must be nice to have a scum buddy coaching you like that, no? Or do you think she's pocketing you?

@Poppy: And how about the flip side? What do you think of scene's questions? This is like the third game in which he's going full on newbie. Does that still ring true to you?
Do you have any thoughts to share on the matter?

avatar
Dessimu: [...] gets to see how Flub looks like on Saturday morning. Golden offer, one time chance though.
Eh...

Vote JoeSapphire

Tries to distract us with all that Pokémon silliness so we'd think he's just forgotten his potty training.

I don't understand the question.

You did use bold to ask me a question, didn't you?

That was just an action, not a vote. Fuggedaboudit.

However that wasn't what was said.

It was stated "Depending how mafia choose to play with it" and "likely to be killed sooner or later."

Doesn't sound like town to me. It sounds like scum attempting to look town.
avatar
flubbucket: Why would mafia surely kill a confirmed town with literally zero power??
I'm channelling yogs. You winnow down the most Town-seeming players to make it easier to build wagons against the scummier-seeming players; knocking off power roles is secondary. A confirmed Town player is an excellent night kill because they'll never be the subject of a lynch, and you don't want to keep them around into endgame.

PoppyAppletree: [...] You can be sure he'll be killed within a few days as the scum try to deprive us of information. [...]

HypersomniacLive: Do tell, what information would we be deprived of with the death of flubbucket?
We'd lose an active player we knew to be town, which affects voting bloc/wagon analysis later.

avatar
flubbucket: You now have my focus.
I'm sure I'll live.
