HappyPunkPotato: I had started writing a big long reply but then I realised I can't be arsed. It is ironic that you're anti-ban arguments are prompting me to respond in a pro-ban kind of way though.
The correct response to this kind of topic is not to write a long reply, however tempting it may be. "Porngames" are not defined, so this topic from its premise is a puritanical stand against games the author doesn't agree with. This is not a valid starting argument for a valid debate.

But anti-arguments prompting people to write a pro-argument is not ironic, it is a natural psychological reaction to an argument from someone that you don't know if you can't understand their argument.

And indeed such a tactic is used by propaganda bots to prompt other people to argue against them and thus legitimise their agenda.

Not on this topic of course. But on political topics on YouTube for example.

So say little, and wait for the puritanism to pass, it usually does.
I agree with others to opt for an opt-in filter. thanks
there should be a switch. there's a reason pornography isn't displayed at eye level in your grocery store or newsagent...

There isn't any pornography displayed at all though.

Breja: Huh, I guess I'm a dummy. Didn't realise that's there. It would still be helpful to have an option to make exclusions permanent, but I guess this is something.
"Just bookmark it!" I've heard suggested, without even considering how little that actually solves the (many) issues.

Edit: Whoops, the thread was a necro, never me mind.

Why only a filter for porngames?
Because during the lat year nipples killed more people than bullets did.

And no, they don't just want to ban porn games but all games with adult content.

Most definitly lizardmen. Everyone knows that there are no aliens.
I like adult content
I just have eyes and am aware most of it is low quality garbage on the storefront and also should have a switch/filter for people who like to buy games that are good/fun. Ugly ass daz studio renpy games belong in the trash.
Simple, move to Germany, they just won't be there by default
Well guess it is time to bump this thread as it seems more relevant. I am not going to make the "but my kids" argument (which is relevant sorry for those who don't like it) I am just going to say outright... I dont want to see low class, trash, smut games when I open the GoG store. It isn't even like I have to look, currently there is literally one sitting there on the front page being actively advertised.

There should be more hide game filters in general period for GoG. Heck steam will let me hide VR only games for example, like I dont own a VR headset and have no plans to buy one. Why should they show up in my store? Add some filters for god sake, people should be able to hide adult, they should be able to hide based on genre, they should be able to hide based on tags like "explicit violence".

GoG devs can we get some ease of use and common sense no brainer features please? Trust me people who would turn on that "hide adult" flag are not buying your adult games.

Just don't look.
I'm serious.

Whenever I see a new post like yours pop up, I can't help but think of attachments #2 (NSFW) and #3 (NSFW2).

I don't think there's anything "lewd" or "smutty" to see here (much less "pornographic").

Neither on the front page, nor on the main store page.

To really see the content of a "lewd" game, you have to make the deliberate decision to click on a ("not-showing-anything") thumbnail.

Genuine question: do you f**k your s.o. (if existent) through a hole in your bedsheet?

Well I get an email about a visual novel sale and I'm treated to a bunch of porn. Please add this option! At this point I'm not even offended by the porn, I'm offended by how bad all the porn games are. I don't want to see them! They make the whole site look cheap.
