phaolo: Well, if you don't like scifi and fantasy.. that's a valid reason.
But the lack of arguments is inexcusable.
Off with his head!
In fairness, while some Bond movies are fucking amazing, some are so bad they defy crap. :P

I think that Sean Connery really captured Bond well and is still one of my favorites when I revisit them again. There was something about his mannerisms and curt humor that really captured some of the moments.

Reminds me a lot of the one-liners Arnold Schwarzenegger incorporated into his films (even though he wasn't fluent in English from the start of his career).

I get shit for this but I thought Timothy Dalton was a great Bond.
I haven't read Stephen Kings The Dark Tower- I tried but the very first book bored me quickly, and I gave up.

I never really watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Just something about always repulsed me. Everything about it was just so...high-school. I don't know how to describe it better. I'm generaly not a fan of modern-day vampire stories, with very few exceptions (like Kolchak the Night Stalker or the original Fright Night).

I never played any Final Fantasy except VII, and I didn't even finish that.

There's probably many more, but I can't think of it right now. Many movies probably. I watch a lot of movies, probably more than is healthy, but there are so many that even for me it's hard to catch up with everything.

He was defiantely my favourite. Though I'll admit, I'm something of a Timothy Dalton fan in general.

Breaking Bad. Kinda.

I actually watched the first 3 or 4 episodes, back when they were first released, and did not care for it. Don't really remember why. I guess I must not have found any of the characters particularly likeable or compelling.

Years later it suddenly becomes the thing no one can shut up about, and I'm thinking "Really? That same old show that barely left an impression on me when I watched it?"

I don't really care if people tell me it gets better later. There are too many things I've never tried that are still on my list, for me to give something a second chance.

DaCostaBR:
I was in the same boat as you. And I'm really not a fan of series.
Went to watch Breaking Bad and consider it one of the best things I have ever watched.

Don't get me wrong, I love the genres, sci fi, fantasy, spy, adventures, drama. Just never bothered with those important and influential ones, for some reason...

Oh well, let's get this over with.

Tell my parents and few friends that I loved them.

Uh, he didn't completely suck and I had really high hopes for Pierce Brosnan, but that kind of fell through.

I love Pierce but it's almost like he was too "handsome". :P The other guys were good looking but had an edge and he was just too polished. A great actor but not a great Bond.

Loved that show, kept me on the edge of my seat every episode. The end was a bit of a downer, but I guess it was to be expected.
I'm gonna have to agree with Tiny, the living daylights was my favorite of the series.

Maybe it depends on the genre or setting in which they've been seen before.

I wasn't a fan of Roger Moore (who apparently ties with Sean Connery in the number of films made), Daniel Craig is a bit too straight laced for my taste.

David Niven, well as a child, I remember him first as the butler in the Disney film "Candleshoe", so I'm not sure if I could go back and watch his '67 version of Bond in "Casino Royale" without having some type of bias.

After Gus and the thing with Hank (avoiding spoilers) I had my expectations lowered so while the ending was a let down compared to the rest of the writing, it was serviceable.
Those characters though, so fucking good.

"I am, the one who knocks!" just writing it gives me chills.

I'm not sure that would be a problem, given how that movie is a pants-on-head goofy comedy and Niven is only one of like seven different Bonds in it.

We might need to take this to a separate "Bond Thread". :P

I liked BB too, but I would have preferred if it finished at S4.
Also, some extra-slow drama moments and some filler episodes were quite painful.
