Sins of the father

D: The Game, a psychological horror adventure through dark family secrets, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The halls of a big Los Angeles hospital are riddled with dead bodies, the gruesome work of a mass murderer. Several other innocent people have been taken hostages by the madman, who has barricaded himself inside. When Laura Harris, a scholar in San Francisco, finds out, she rushes to the hospital to investigate. Why? The man responsible for the bloodbath is the well-respected supervisor of the hospital and also her father.
Time is not on Laura's side, however, as she only has two hours to navigate the shifting realities of the hospital, overcome the challenges in her path, and try to solve the most sinister puzzle of all: the reason why her quiet father turned into this bloodthirsty monster.

Explore a hospital drenched in blood and discover the dark forces that guide your father's killing hand in D: The Game, DRM-free on GOG.com.

damien: I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that 3DO version is better than the PC version. Anyone know anything about this?
A Director's Cut was released in Japan only for the 3DO featuring additional content. Don't know if there is anything special about the original 3DO release though.
I'm pretty sure the console versions don't have any interlacing, so there's at least that.
Neat Release. So will we eventually get Enemy Zero too ? :D

vicklemos: Sadly.
But (I believe that) Night Dive would do something if interest was shown. I mean, after what they did with Turok (and soon Powerslave/Forsaken) and all... ;)

Malek86: Well, all those other games had a PC version to build upon.
Yep but they have something to do with the console releases in terms of audio/graphics or something, so I've heard; and there's the announced Battletanx release for the PC (by retroism), a n64 game only. So... ;P
That's one definitely classic release! And with a linux version!

A man can dream! :)
I remember this one from the PS, not bad if I recall. Somewhere in the Clocktower range of horror games in terms of quality. Will pick it up eventually, maybe today.

So, how many other one-letter games out there? We've got here, and there's [url=https://www.gog.com/game/x_gold]X, and [url=http://www.mobygames.com/game/9-the-last-resort]9. Any others?
While I like some good ole games and I can tolerate some awkward mechanics of yore, this games looks a bit too crusty for my liking. *shrug*
The Kenji Eno D? The one from WARP?
I never knew it had a PC release, and really never expected to see it on gog.
D:

I hadn't been expecting this release.

Hmm.

After checking to see what it is, it isn't my cuppa, but whoever else can gladly drink of it. I'm just not one for horror on the graphical level of "Re-Boot".

big D!

err, I mean, excellent!
better to play this on psx or pc?
Completed it in one sitting on the PS1 a few years ago and liked the foreboding mood.
Its very short but quite sweet und fairly priced. Instabuy.
Well.. . I can't deny this is an interesting one. And unexpected. I don't know how the PC version of D compares to the console versions, let alone this re-release, but I'm curious, at the very least.
Wow, now that's wishlist material right there! I didn't even know it had a PC release.
