lolplatypus: We need more Karl-Heinz Schneider.
Yeah!

Seriously though, what if... England? They look pretty good right now.

I would look pretty good, too, if I had to play Panama.
Let's see how good they are when they come up against a real team like, for example, South Korea.
Well, The Netherlands just beat South Korea 7-0, and they aren't even in the tourney. :P

Why is the crowd all blurry? Are they running super fast around the field?

It's an indie game, an in dev one, and a great one.

I'd love to see it here but I don't know who to talk to and I don't want to rile any feathers.

You do realize South Korea didn't make it out of the group stage, losing their first two games.

Yes. Hence the "like, for example". The joke, as posted by me, only works with South Korea.

I've put some truth in my post in that England hasn't faced strong opposition so far. However they did look good in those games and I don't want to underplay that. Using South Korea as a stand in for Belgium facilitates suspension of disbelief and takes the edge off of any perceived and unintended negativity.

More stupid American time. :P

Yesterday's games obviously had a big effect on more that just qualifying, but obviously seating. If Mexico manages a draw they make it to round three, but as it stands, they are set to get killed in round two.

Anything similar today?

Are England and Belgium going to beat the hell out of each other or are we looking at snooze fest put on by two teams resting players and content with whoever they face come elimination time?

Interestingly enough, the 2nd team in Group G in paper should have an easier way to the semifinal, with the winner of Switzerland and Sweden awaiting. The winner have to meet Brazil likely then Argentina/France or Uruguay/Portugal.
But tanking always leaves a bitter aftertaste.

That's what ESPN just said.

Two teams trying to finish 2nd. This should be fun. :D

We'll see that after the lineups being released. Now it just fun speculation.

I LOVE IT THIS SHIT! XD
So it's currently 2 yellow cards versus and own goal attempt in the thrilling England v Belgium race to second place. They really need a better system for these occurrences, say winner of the game gets to decide if they want to be first or second, keep it a bit interesting.

what happens with a tie?

I mean, I know what happens, but who has the most goals, GA, and fouls?
