No offense but the music is crap .

The two top most favourite characters besides the ninjas.

kung lao/jax was fringe.

This just doesn't make sense. Why are they fighting in a run down plant room with gaskets, valves and pipes everywhere? There's no reason to be there.

- Also an ice blade makes no sense and had nothing to do with the original character of subzero, since ninjas can carry real blades as you see with scorpion. He had FFREEZE ATTACKS and speed across the ice or to trip people.

- What's the point of the ice wall ? It has no effect.

- You also can't catch scorpion's spear. If you could it wouldn't be deadly.

This is just the laziest slapshod ideas thrown in a hat and pulled out to make a scene. So disrespectful to the intellect of the audience. "Don't worry about them, son, they don't care about anything and are too dumb to want realism"

Despite my issue that Cage was partly dumped because he was white, the movie in itself doesn't look all that bad, considering all hero-, game-, and monster movie isn't exactly the golden globe and cerebral kind of movies.

"We have all the characters that the fans love". Liar. Many of us would actually like to see johnny Cage...

However, like the music so far. That alone might make the movie better... Like the music on Tron 2.0 was epic and made the movie a lot better than it really was. :)

I've seen it now. Visually it takes inspiration from newer games in the series. Script is basic, just sets the story, history of the tournament, realms and introduces us to characters (sorry I meant kharacters ). Editing was a bit weird, at times they would jump from scene to scene quite promptly. Effects were done well. The most important part of movie - fights, were great. New character Cole didn't need to be in the movie, but whatever, he was there, he was serviceable. And yes, film is gory, there are fatalities, they didn't shy from them. There is one character that I always liked in the games and I am not satisfied how he was treated in the film. The ending is open to sequel (duh!). All in all, it is under 2 hours, a bit of fun with beer or two.
