I definitely don't follow them closely, but every now and then will check on them, and there's quite a few, surprisingly.
Camelot Unchained - The game I have been following the most, but I have only really started following recently because they're coming close to Beta1 (not yet announced, but, things are coming together so much so fast now for this game that I can't help but be excited. It's been in-development for YEARS and I'm a backer.) This is one game that I will actually play in Beta due to it being an MMO and the more familiar I am with it at launch, the better leader I'll be (I plan to be a leader of the realm of the Tuatha De Dannan.) Not a general fan of MMOs, but having played Dark Age of Camelot hardcore for ~4 years way back in its early days, the time is coming again to involve myself in such a world, I believe.
Project Zomboid - I think the name is stupid, so I just call it "PZ", because aside from the name, it's really frikken good! I spent just a little time playing with it because it is definitely a game I only want to play once all features are in and it is well polished. Not generally into survival games or crafting or zombies, BUT, this game is special. The fact that they are adding NPCs and more story elements is what keeps me excited about this!
The Long Dark - Again, while generally not into survival and crafting games, this game has a story mode and a ton of other features that make me greatly interested. I check back every so often to make sure they're still doing story mode, and, yes, it is coming! Again, not a game I will really dig my teeth into until it is released and polished.
EverSpace - Hands-down, my #1 wanted-game that I do not yet own. I have been loving Galaxy on Fire 2 (never played 1, unfortunately), and so my confidence in these developers is very-high, added to everything I've read and seen about this game, I can't help but drooool in anticipation! I think it is going to be epic.
Exanima + Sui Generis - A two-punch set of games that, in my understanding, can not be divided into playing one but not the other. Totally unique gameplay in an RPG game, they look great and promising, but still a while to see if they are going to deliver a good game.
less keeping an eye on "We Happy Few" and "Ghost of Tale", whether they get good stories is what will make me more interested in them down the line.
also semi following
Seven: Days Long Gone - but mostly just waiting for it to be released because pretty sure it's going to be excellent
