timppu: Sounds like a fun game!
I've long since forgotten what game was even referred to initially, but this is by far the best post in this entire thread. Thank you for making me literally laugh out loud and get strange looks from other people here at the library. :D

EDIT - I posted but it didn't appear, posted again and it didn't appear, and now ten minutes later both appeared merged into one. Weird. Now fixed.

RizzoCuoco: Too many people with far too much free time. Most folks couldn’t care less…..me included. It’s like watching a bunch of children throw tantrums. At the end of it all….we the observers got to eat our popcorn, laugh at the ridiculousness of it, and see folks become utterly mentally unhinged. Pretty good day by most accounts, I’d say! Hell, I enjoyed it.

This is simply a thread that cries too hard. If you don’t like a mod or game…ignore it. If you don’t want black folks, women, or gay folks in your games….mod it…or don’t play it. There is no sense in telling folks that they are evil, bad, or whatever according to your arbitrary standards. Last I checked, not liking someone or something is a personal choice and not a crime. Whole lotta Karening going on here. You can’t force others to accept things they don’t like. That’s a two-way street, folks

Anyway…..have fun with the foolishness………because we are having fun watching.

Hooyaah: ^ That needed to be said. First Amendment notwithstanding.

Thank you.
Hol' up. I'm confused.

Are you guys saying we should or shouldn't post about things we don't like? Getting mixed signals here.

I'm also confused about the "arbitrary" part. When does it stop being arbitrary? Would a mod about child abuse be an arbitrary standard? Is it covered by this worldwide First Amendment thing?

The mod it's obviously fair game.

It's unseemly af but fair game nonetheless and the real tragedy about it it's not its existence because douchery has been around since the dawn of the species, the real tragedy is that we've reached a point where for so many folks a mod of this nature has become a necessity, not as a statement of what the world should be like but as an adamant statement of rejection of what the entertainment world was like in the past decade.

Whether is was posted here or there it's purely incidental, it doesn't change the fact that the last decade in entertainment created an audience for it that simply did not exist before.

lupineshadow: CK3 allows you to make 90% of people homosexual. Is that heterophobia?
As far as I know, they are options, which means that the player controls which decisions he accepts in the game, if you don't like it, don't accept it and look for the other options.

lupineshadow: Most games allow mods to make characters be whatever the user wants them to be.

It is not necessarily a hate crime.
Of course there are people who want to see themselves represented, but when they put in characters that can represent other people and even if they don't represent you, that can be respected, but what you see a lot is hatred towards those people, and coincidentally they are almost always non-white and LGBT+ people.

Last and only time that I will humor you. What I am saying is that you and the other folks here are hypocritical and condescending. Nowhere is it a crime to be racist, or not like homosexuals. This is a contrived social standard that people are trying to force on others. There are simply people out there who don't want anything homosexual or racially diverse. And you know what....that's ok! There are some people who want all the modernity they can handle...and that's ok too. The point being....you are trying to talk down, bully, denegrate, and coerce people to think like you. It's like a mob of fools. Not everyone is going to agree with you and accept your beliefs as the way things should be. That's really basically it. In other words....you do you, and leave others the hell alone. You can't have your way in all matters, and you don't control the thinking of others. Too many dummies fall into the trap of thinking themselves all knowing and having the mandate to force it on others. No thank you. That just screams....'love me, like me, my way, or else!" That is the modern definition of an SJW.

I find the idea that some users get offended over what other users do with their single player game such as modding to be truly bizarre. Mind your own business!

I am wondering whether there are really two users with very similar posts. Your posts constantly remind me of the posts by JoaoPauloZA. Could it be that this is another ban evasion or something? I wouldn't be surprised.

I apologize that you and your people are subject to thought crimes. That is not the case here...and never was...nor ever will be. Freedom of thought and speech....which is actually not the topic though. The topic is trying to force others to accept your beliefs, and the absurdity of it. Not you personally, but you (people) generally.

I guessed right, isn't it? After JoaoPauloZA disappeared and stopped posting RizzoCuoco started and the posts were very similar.

No, the topic is whether GOG should host that content or not, especially considering they have a code of conduct.

This is about GOG’s freedom as a platform to choose what content it wants to host. As a business, GOG is fully within its rights to remove posts they deem inappropriate. That’s not a violation of free speech. And if you believe it is, then you are facing a conflict between two freedoms, the freedom of users to speak, and the freedom of a platform to moderate its own space.

Also, I’m sorry to say, but it sounds like you may not be fully aware of your own country’s laws. Freedom of speech is not absolute. Even in the U.S.A., there are well-established restrictions, including time, place, and manner regulations, and specific exceptions on for example incitement to violence, true threats, defamation, and obscenity.

lupineshadow: Haha it's the kind of game where you invest in the game once you make sure it is the kind of game that fits your portfolio and then you wait for the game - sorry - your investment to mature.
I'm currently playing Daggerfall (Unity-version; just performing my first mage guild quest) so I am slowly getting there, working my way up from the 90s and early 2000s games to these modern games. KCD2 still has some time to mature for me!

Shit how time flies. I just realized I asked tips for the DaggerfallSetup-version of this game in these forums... in Dec 2015. Almost 10 years ago... I could swear that was like max 2-3 years ago... I think I really need to pick up pace, luckily I was able to finish all the 5 Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver games last year, that is something I was also meant to do like for decades...

So many totalitarian tyrants demanding cencosrhip here. If they had their way, GoG would never exist.
