Bought Mad Max during the sale.

Great game based on the films. If you loved Mad Max you will enjoy running around a post apocalyptic wasteland doing various activities and mowing down various people.

You have a big world too explore with some nice lore in it. The game can be a bit repetitive at times but for the price you pay in the sale it is cheaper than a tank of gasoline.

The highlight for me is definitely Sacred 2: Gold Edition. Ideal for an RPG newcomer as it's not hard to pick up (if you can stomach the occasional crash but the save system is thankfully quite robust). The main story isn't much to write home about but the gameplay is great, the environments are captivating, side-quests are for the most part interesting and can cause an occasional giggle. Already one of my fave games and I'm not even done with it!

If you need an argument for gameplay and other factors making up for somewhat lacking writing, this is it.
Bagged Mad Max but cannot recommend it as I cannot play it yet due to still waiting on PC parts ordered in November.
F.e.a.r Platinum is my reccomandation. The original game is one of the best shooters to have come out of the 2000-2010 period. It has Scary children, supernatural stuff and Karate kungfu , what more could u ask for? In all seriousness, i think it is one my favorite games of all time.

The atmosphere it creates and sustaines throught all of its run is hard to match even nowadays, the gunplay is great too, with lots of particles and blood splushes coming out of the enemies. The enemies you fight are really impressive, they know how to gain control over the battlefield and use their avantages in order to capture you.
Even so, you are more than well equiped to deal with them: lots of weapons, some with alternate firing modes and when everything else fails...your hands and legs are more than suitable to deal with some threats.

The horror is unsettling to say the least, minor jumpscares get me even to this day. Story wise its good but nothing groundbreaking...the gameplay is the star and its gonna be forever a classic even just for that. The price is a steal..for 2 dollars u get one of the best shooters ever made and two expansions...cant even argue with value.
No purchase necessary.
I didn't buy anything during the sale, but here's my entry for the contest.

That said, I'd recommend the Witcher 3 and its expansions from now until the heat death of the universe.
I bought XCOM 2, because now mankind fight potentially its final battle against insidious enemy. In such hard times peoples need experienced leaders which can prove their abilities to win against supernatural enemies as Martians and mutated people, who are too similar to covid infected patients. I consider it as my personal sacrifice to help all people around the world.

As mentioned in game description: Only those who live at the edges of the world have a margin of freedom. Until our enemy will be defeated, common people would not be able make LAN parties in exotic resorts to play games with their new friends from all corners of the world.

So I would like to appeal to all brave men, buy XCOM 2, train, destroy all aliens once for all, build global resistance and save this year vacation for all! ;)
I bought Eschalon Book 2 and 3 and finally I am able to start playing in Eschalon starting from Book 1 with no worries.

I can recommend it for everyone who like retro simple RPGs similar to Tibia or Nox, but turn based. You will explore not so small world and you will get to know a not so bad story. This game is quite relaxing, good for weekend evenings. And yay, you can even play this game by one hand, which can be a lot of useful ;)

PS. I would like to in for game keys only - i am not really interested in hardware.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister

Still in early access it's an RPG based on 5E D&D rules that is really fun and made by people with a real passion for games and has around 20 hours of content at it's current build.
Got

Ghostmaster, which is a great and humorous puzzle game where you command various types of ghosts. If you like games like neighbours from hell you can check it out.

The first commandos, games which is one of my favourite childhood games. Semi-strategic, semi-puzzle, and extremely hard. As a kid, I only passed the first mission, but I hope to beat it this time. Commandos was the basis for numerous 'clones', so if you like desperados or robin hood you should check it out.

The first Red Faction game. Used to play this at a friend's house and was impressed with the graphics at the time. An old-school fps that allows breaking holes through walls and other types of environmental destruction. Recommended for fans of late 90s early 00s games.
Hmmm...where should i start?

i just went out to get a pizza ... suddenly it makes puff bang ... and due to a time axis shift i somehow ended up in the year 2077.

What can I say? Gog is still there !! Its coincidentally spring sale and meanwhile they have Skyrim !!!

Skyrim !! For 2.99€! Thats a steal.

So i instabought with my Google internet glasses Skyrim.

Therefore my best buy this spring sale is - by far - Skyrim.

After all these years (its been 66 years from 2011 to 2077) of waiting i can finally immerse myself in this world and flesh my teeth in this very old classic.

The problem for Gog is now: i don't have anything else i want to buy from gog.

But whatever? What do i care?

I now have Skyrim and mods to infinity!

So my clear purchase recommendation to all of you is: Skyrim !!

******

Oh, and don't forget Dorfromantik - totally chill and addictive gameplay!

Instabought Mad Max. It's great to see it without DRM and with all DLCs, finally maybe I get to finish it. The game's atmosphere perfectly recreates the movie and while some of the missions do feel repetitive after a while, there is a definite satisfaction in playing it. All in all an imperfect but enjoyable open world game.
low rated
I haven't bought anything during this sale because I am part of the current boycott (https://www.gog.com/forum/general/boycotting_gog_2021), which is trying to make GOG a better place.

I haven't bought anything on GOG for more than three months now (a first for me since 2013).

My primary reasons for boycotting GOG are:
- Not keeping all offline installers up to date relative to galaxy, making the client not so "optional" if one wants one's games up to date. Here is an automated list (possibly with a small number of false positives), updated once a week on Saturday: https://airtable.com/shrldLsErlUf3eHqS. As you can see, some games' offline installers haven't been updated for months after having been updated on galaxy.
- Selling games with single player elements locked behind some form of DRM without properly identifying them (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077, Absolver). If you believe you should sell such games, I recommend you add a search filter that allows users to identify which games have DRM elements and which do not (e.g. Humble Bundle has such a filter).

Other people have other reasons for boycotting GOG (see here: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/boycotting_gog_2021/post1).

Goglodytes: if you care about the future of GOG, I recommend you consider joining the boycott.

GOG: if you care about your customers, I recommend you take this to heart and improve your service.

I hope you find my recommendations creative and helpful.

Dorfromantik. Tried the demo, turned around and bought it right away. It's worth it even in early access.
