I bought the Secrets of the Maw expansion pack for Little Nightmares, which has all the DLCS for the game conveniently packed into one product. The studio recently came out with the sequel and before playing that I'd want to play through the entire first game with all additional content. It's a great game for relaxing in the evenings after work and studies. Plenty of puzzles and a good change of pace. I'd recommend getting it on this sale as for the three months or so I've had it on my wishlist, it hasn't been discounted once before and now suddenly it's down by 50%. It seems like the spring sale discounts pretty much everything, even things that are usually not discounted. The risk is you have to wait quite a while for the next chance, unless you buy it for full price!
The games that I purchased during this sale, truly got me as nostalgic and as emotional as you can get. I'm a middle aged guy, so bear with me:

- Drakensang: I had spent several years trying to play the tabletop version (The Dark Eye), and when I finally got to play it, we had such an amazing time; but due to a series of unfortunate and tragic events involving health issues of some of the group members and job situations, the group ended up disbanding. Before that happened, one of our group members was showing us this game, Drakensang. It looked so immersive back then and I kept hearing good things about it as the years went by, until I played it for myself, and decided to get it. I kinda feel like I am reviving some of that excitement, when I played with my original group :-) If you like old school party based roleplaying, in the rich and archetypical setting of The Dark Eye, this game is a must have.

- Disciples Sacred Lands Gold: Like many others, I actually started playing Disciples 2, during a time in which I was looking for a RTS/RPG hybrid, with a sort of atmosphere or vibe that was grimdark , harsh and bleak. Disciples 2 gave me that and much more! Disciples Sacred Lands is not as good in terms of story and the overall experience, but it's not that far behind. It's a slow game that rewards those that give the game world a chance, so if that piques your interest, I recommend it.

- And last but not least, I purchased the Jazz Jackrabbit Collection 1 & 2, due to the fact that it was the only videogame that I played with my father, that he didn't dislike for some reason! We took turns while playing, but we never got to finish it because we eventually sold the computer it came installed in. To be honest, the game is not that good when compared to other side-scrolling platformers out there, specially because the screen doesn't let you see too far ahead of you and you end up bumping into enemies constantly; but the personality of the main character and the graphic design of the different levels makes up for it in spades. My father passed away a few years back, but when I play this game, it takes me back to happier moments; this time, I will finish the game and its sequel.

Thanks GoG!

I bought Horizon Zero Dawn because I played the standard game on the PS4 which I borrowed from a friend.
It was a blast, now with mouse and keyboard I'm looking forward to playing the game with the expansion

Subsilent00: I'm getting Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition. I never owned a Playstation 4 and it's nice sony is making an effort to bring their games to PC. Plus, it's down to $30!
HZD is in my top ten games of all time list. You shall not regret this purchase, friend.
So far I got War Wind II. It is a must-have for RTS lovers. Especially if you like some micro managing. War Wind was the first RTS that added RPG traits. Leaders, objects, experience... WWII continues the story of War Wind, in the same alien world of Yavaun, both original and suggestive. You have to play each faction to see all what the game has to offer.

WW was the story of a rebellion, told from four sides, two of them against the rebellion and two of them rebels (the most difficult campaigns). WWII compounds the situation with two human factions that have arrived in Yavaun. The two authoritarian factions have consolidated into one, and the same for those who seek freedom from opression.

WWI is free in GOG. A very worthy game. Some of the strongest points of the sequel are the very fun units that you can create. For example, the Marines can get airborne units (think self-propelled jumptroops) that are super fun to use. And that is just one grain of sand in the joyful beach that is the world of Yavaun.
I brought Xcom 2 at -92%, it's really a very good deal

why buy it?

I liked Shadowrun Dragonfall, I loved Wasteland 2, Xcom 2 It was an obvious choice, I love these kind of games. another great reason was the story deals with some aspects that I miss from the 90s, a feeling that I can't explain, fascination, mystery, aliens, hidden facilities, governments that know the truth and conspiracies and its consequences.
Cartoons like Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths and Legend and games like Perfect Dark 64 and Half Life are the best exemples.

EDIT: I have bought right now Shadowrun Hong Kong, :3

I finally got the Witcher 3 DLC. I got Witcher 3 and DLC from here because heaven knows, in ten years, it will still run on whatever machine I have.

Also, I just got a monitor that is longer than my oldest child is tall and Witcher 3 looks amazing on it.
I got Control and I recommend this game 100%, one of the all-time favorites. Hope I'm lucky enough to play more games! (This mousepad is the best out there, recommend it too.)

unfortunately I have not played it yet, But since you mention it I think it will be next on my list. Shadowrun is an awesome saga. :D

the trilogy It's quite cheap right now, I highly recommend them if someone have not played it, it is worth it.
I got Myst 3 Exile. I'd recommend it for the same reason I'd recommend the first two games. The way they build such fantastical yet believable worlds. With puzzles that feel they belong in the world.
Everyone please check out Danger Scavenger! It's a great rogue-lite dual stick shooter with fun loot drops and an item combo system! I need to pick it up on my Atari VCS as well. Great game!
Snagged Serious Sam 4 and Moonlighter.

Serious Sam 4 is for those days when you want to tick off your neighbors blasting Five Finger Death Punch and killing Mental's hordes. If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move... meh shoot it again. Don't be stingy with your ammo, SHARE!

Moonlighter is for the days when you listen to Beethoven and sipping fine wine after a long day at work. My good sir, you will find my prices for Broken Swords and Teethstone to be the best (only one) in town.
I got Steel Rats during the sale because it was free! And I would recommend it to others because of the price.

I bought Mad Max

Why did I buy it?

because driving a hotwheels thorught a wasteland beating suicidal albinos makes me nostalgic for my childhood

Now seriously, it's a very underrated gem, with enough content to be fun and not overstay it's welcome, with a great (not grindy) loop and nice exploration.
