So I got:

Flashback: At my age you start forgetting stuff, and I enjoy playing as someone else having a really hard time because of that, like being targeted by an alien conspiracy ring.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: A classic must-play (or at least must-know-about) dystoSciFi piece of Gamming history that reflects more or less how I feel when going to work everyday.

Soldier of Fortune: An evening of December 2000 I played this staple of the genre and, amidst blazing action ultra quality graphics (by then...) I realized I was about to reach my 20th birthday, and some day I would be an adult and games would be thing of the past for me.
And, 21 years later here I am, browsing the offers at GOG.COM and HAVING AN ABOSLUTE BLAST THANK YOU GOG TEAM.
Purchased 4 games this sale

1) Spec Ops the line - People say the story in this game is great so I can't wait to see if that is true
2) Grim Legends 3 The Dark City - Played the first and 2nd game and they were one of the best if not the best hidden object game (Please gog bring more Hidden Object games)
3) Rayman 3 : Hoodlum - Had a good time with the other Rayman games so at this price I had to buy it and complete my rayman games collection (GOG please bring Rayman Legends)
4) Return to Mysterious Island - at 90% off for a good point and click game it was a no brainer (GOG please bring the 2nd game here even if the reviews are not so good)

Would have purchased probably more but I am waiting for the star wars sale on May 4th and probably the summer sale at the start of June.

ZiTheBookishGamer: Bought X-Com 2 and it's expansion, King of Fighters XIV, and Metro Exodus Gold along with some older titles like Ankh 2 + 3 (already had the 1st), Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, SWAT 4 Gold, and Door Kickers: Action Squad.

I haven't played any yet, but if Door Kickers: Action Squad is just like Broforce, it's sure to be a blast! I recommend XCOM 2 and Metro Exodus because both seem to be fantastic, which is why I wanted them. Likely will be doing co-op KoF XiV with my hubby later today, and it should be a fun time as well! I think these 4 buys are the most exciting to me, really looking forward to them (though also Wallce & Gromit, being a huge fan of the franchise).
Yeah Door Kickers action squad is just a big barrel of fun; I loved it.
I got Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood. Why?

Well, I love Desperado, the game that trully captured the feeling of being a badass cowboy.

But The Legend of Sherwood is even better, for it makes you feel like a badass nice person. And you grow in power by helping and assisting the poor, freeing the innocent from tiranny. Your power comes from the people and, as you give to them, they give it back to you.

In our world, plagued by emerging tyrants trying to abuse the innocent, what better game to remind us of the value of a good, honest and adventurous life?
Picked up 11 games this sale.

I got Jade Empire, which is known for its jankiness, but is unique for its depiction of Ancient China.

I also got We. The Revolution. I fairly enjoyed my time as the judge, jury, and executioner during the historical French Revolution. Managing different factions for fun and I've come to appreciate the game's messaging about this turbulent period.

I also got Into The Breach, which is an amazing tactical game (along with many others this sale)! I enjoy taking time to plan my decisions and complete each mission with minimal losses.
World of Aden games don't go on sale that often, so I picked up both Thunderscape and Entomorph. Decent SSI rpgs in an interesting setting. SSI tried so hard to make it a thing, so naturally Aden didn't become a mega hit, but it's still fondly remembered by some. Plus the mountain cats explode on death in Thunderscape and you can play as a rat person. GOG version comes with the awesome soundtrack too.

Chroma Squad and Into the Breach are two games I've been eager to play. So I snatched them up. They both have tactical turn-based combat and interesting settings and narratives. Both have some character customization as well.

I picked up Ara Fell on a whim. Sad about lack of resource management, but still fun menu-based (nontactical turned-based) combat. I've heard the boss fights do get interesting and fun, so I look forward to that. Plus you can pet the cats.

I've played the demo of Operencia a while back. Seems like a great higher-budget turn-based western blobber (first-person party-based game.) Decided to grab it on a reasonable discount. The free look combined with the gridlocked nature of the game is something else though.

Finally I purchased Betrayal at Krondor/Betrayal in Antara. With that I've almost completed my collection of freeblobs (free-movement blobbers) available on GOG. Just need Paper Sorcerer to complete the set. I've also heard Krondor is one of the best rpgs ever made.
Raiden IV: OverKill

Classic Pew Pew...
I got RimWorld for the absolute barrage of content and because losing is fun.

Mad Max for its chaotically beautiful driving experience.

Last one is The Witcher 3 GOTY! Never got to play it before but heard great things!
I didn't make any purchases during this sale because I just can't justify any more expanses at this time. But a game that I do have that I would heartily recommend to anyone is Enter the Gungeon.

Enter the Gungeon is a a rouge like that encourages the "just one more run mentality". I love the aesthetic of the guns. Everything in the game world that enters the gun dungeon eventually becomes gun-like. Guitars, tentacles, even swords. There is a gun that is a giant bullet that fires guns that fire bullets. Most of the guns reference various game and movie franchises, like the wind up gun that plays "pop goes the weasel" that is featured in an episode of Futurama.

At the heart of the gungeon lies a gun that can kill your past. The player characters all have something they regret and wish to undo, and until they succeed they are stuck in a time loop. Forced to fight and die over and over, until they gain the skills to reach the end. It's an odd mixture that just works and I would recommend to anyone.
I bought The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.

I recommend it simply because it's kind of a classic, and believe it's a game that should be experienced once.
There is so good stuff (Side quests, for example) in my opinion that outweigh negative sides of the game, such as classic Bethesda bugginess.
I'm in for the competition. So for 6 months my laptop was broken and just recently it got fixed and this is why I'm in spending spree (even though it's for cheap, but good old games).

1. Constructor Classic 1997

Talking about good old game, this game is one of those management sim game where you work as real estate company constructing (heh) housings. So what make this game different from other management sim games? Because the game don't just give you option to be a normal real estate company, but you can also opt in the dark side of the business where you can be an utter jerk and pay a burglar (yep, a criminal) to rob your rival's real estate, destroying their reputation and people will move to your real estate instead or other unscrupulous things. So far I don't find other management sim that integrate being a good or evil. With the exception for Dungeon Keeper and Evil Genius game. But those games were pretty much we play as the villain.

2. Oblivion

I will be completely honest, I'm just buying this for 2 reasons, the modding scene and for the meme. Oblivion is the type of game you play just to enjoy the world after it was patched with better graphic mod because we can all admit, the game look like the rear of a very active grandma. Also we can watch as Oblivion NPCs did their dialogue stuff and get entertained.

3. Saint Row II

This game is just plain fun. Sure people keep talking as if San Andreas was a masterpiece but I bet they never experience the madness that is Saint Row II. Sure it's not as over the top as Saint Row III or IV but it has better charm and not as self aware about their campiness like III or IV. If Saint Row III is the Pootie Tang of the series, Saint Row II is the Fast and Furious of the series. Bonus point since you can make your character look like Vin Diesel.

Honorable mention: Metal Slug X, because goddman we need more of this kind of Metal Slug. The artwork is still relevant until now, unlike most PS1 low poly 3D games of old.
woot woot give me that free merch babies
My choice is probably an odd one... what did I buy for this Spring sale? I bought Worms Forts: Under Siege. The next question most people might ask is... WHY? It's definitely the least appreciated title in the whole 3D worms era (an era many people do not appreciate, in an off itself; I'm clearly not one of those people, I love the 3D worms games xD). And among sooo many games to choose from, why would I pick that one up, specifically? Thing is, it's a perfect choice for Spring. It came out right in between Worms 3D and Worms 4 Mayhem, and it definitely has elements from both (good and bad). It opened up many possibilities, and good (warm) thoughts about what the future may hold for the Worms franchise, and it paved the way for the best of the 3D games (the "Summer" of them, in a way, and yes, Summer is my favorite season by far :P). It doesn't get you as invested as Worms 4 Mayhem, but I also don't have that much free time now, as I will in the summer, so again, it makes perfect sense to get this one now :P. It had an awesome discount, and, all things considered, it seemed like a great deal :P. Of course, the game is also set on spring, so... (nah, just kidding xD).

In any case, I'd recommend people to remember this - in a way - lost game of the worms 3D era, and relive the good old days where you could have a blast with your friends, while blasting them with a bazooka, on a 3D worms environment :P
Rayman 2 and 3, The Suffering 1 and 2 and Stranglehold. Because GOG is the only place selling those :)
I'm an addict, and so I just can't avoid games. That said, as a supposed grown up, I have very little time left for gaming, and the amount of games I want to replay or the new upcoming ones are endless so I'm in a losing battle. This sale I just got some that where on my long time wishlist yet I'm not verey interested in, like the collection of the adventures of Indiana Jones and Mad Max, the latter said it was similar to Shadow of Mordor... but the one I really am interested in is a little hidden dungeon crawler, wizards and warriors, which is barely rated under 4 stars. It is said to be an easy going Eye of the beholder... I am definitely more into The shadow of the horned rat strategy type or the baldur's gate saga, but these old school RPG's remind me of my childhood when there was no internet and computers and videogames were niche, you had to buy some cheap paper magazines where some walktrough or code could be offered, I was a kid back there and could only manage to get into my hands many less things than the ones I wished for. Now, nostalgia still drives some of my purchases, but I still can be a tough bone playing for honor and tekken ( I know pals you have'nt got them here yet), I was unbeatable in Capcom's SF2, but that is nostalgia speaking so you had better grab the recently added capcom arcade classics or konami's originalmetal gears, alongside space ace&dragon's lair package, or try the original XCOM, you will never miss the shot. Anyway's there is plenty excellent to go with, just don't miss your aim. Star control 2, lords of the realm, master of magic, ascendancy, there are some good classics missing such as centurion: defender of rome, hannibal, or volfield but you've got the venerable moonstone available, so just make your pick and have fun, and always remember that tou won't be able to beat them all...
