It's middle of the summer vacations, so the pace has slowed down a bit. Well, looking at all the promos we're running and the recent releases you can't really say it's "silly season" at GOG.com, but you know what we mean. We decided to take a more in-depth look at the games we've released, especially the ones from Electronic Arts, and chat with some of the developers that made those classics.

Thanks to our own Silencer - Vagabond - we got in touch with Tony Zurovec, the lead designer of Crusader games, and asked him some questions about these awesome classics. As we love getting you involved in pretty much everything we do, we'd like you to ask your questions about Crusader: No Remorse to Tony. We'll pick 5 most interesting ones and forward them to him to get the answers, while the authors of those questions will receive a GOG.com game of their choice(this includes the awesome The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings!). Post your questions in the comments section until end of Sunday, July 24th.
Tony,

Hi there and thanks for taking questions from people such as myself and others who enjoy the Crusader series. In looking back and seeing how your game is still enjoyed so much today - what would be the chances of you doing a new Crusader game ?

I know many of us here would greatly enjoy the product.
Thanks for your time.
Why the bright red suit for someone who is meant to be a covert ultra assassin?

So his fellow assassins don't shoot him...duh.
Your game was visionary for its time. So many parallels are happening today in our news. Are you working on any new projects maybe a sequel to Crusader? Would EA support a sequel or a remake to this incredible game?
What is your favourite breakfast cereal?

Mine is Cinnamon Toast Crunch Squares
What is your perception of the current state of computer games - more specifically the proliferation of series/sequels and the, what some would say, lack of new innovative and creative games?
Did you have any other gameplay standpoint to the iso-metric perspective before deciding on it? Such as rts or fps perspective?
Mr. Zurovec,

The classic style of both Crusader games is challenging in today's first person environment. Do you think that if you had to create the game again today, you would proceed with the same perspective?... and is there enough of a 'world' around Crusader to allow for the more complex storylines that gamers seem to want of late.. or would it simply be.. 'more of the same...'.

Thanks for a great game, and can't wait for No Regret to be released next!!!
Looking back, is there anything that you wished you would have done differently in designing and/or developing Crusader?
Hello Tony

What made you exactly pick the name, "Crusader, no remorse?"
(a) Any chance for a third game?

(b) Any chance for getting an HD release of the in-game cinematics?

(c) Why did you tease me, with "No Regret"? When I played the demo,
ever so long ago,

I was bummed, because it wasn't as violent as Remorse
After talking to a cousin, I went and bought a copy.
I miss those weapons.

Was it just coincidence that the Silencer outfit kind of looked like Boba Fett's outfit? Also, is there any chance a sequel will be made? It can even be called Crusader: No Repent.
Was there ever a time in the development of Crusader that you suddenly became inspired with a great concept, mechanic, etc that you think would have greatly added to the experience of the game, but due to time and/or money constraints where never able to implement into the final product if so, do you feel that that the game would have been better with the missing piece or, is Crusader's experience better off without this missing component.
There was a distinct dark future/cyberpunk/ noir feel to this and other games from that period (the Sydicate games come to mind) that were reminicent of movies like Bladerunner and Highlander 2. I don't see that as much now and I miss it. What was the insperation for this mood in your game and in the others of that time?
Which do you prefer: pie or cake?
