keeveek: So GOG.com is now the only place where you can buy these games. Good for gog!

Also, NWN2 coming to gog would be nice.
This is because the rights just seem to have jumped from Atari to Hasbro and the only place that had deals with both apparently. (I think it was still up somewhere else but not sure)

I would assume they'll still be up on the other distributors lately but the deals will have to be redone with Hasbro.

And yes, the GOG installers do seem to be slowly spreading, which could be a bad thing for GOG in the long term. If developers are simply allowed to sell the GOG versions on other digital distributors then I imagine it's only a matter of time before all of them will start to pick up on that and sell on other distributors as well.

spinefarm: No you are not mistaking and they have disappeared from shelfs too...
I assume you're talking brick and mortar retail. But in case others are confused, the games will still appear on your GamersGate shelf and should still be downloadable.

Crosmando: Is Blood 2 windows 7 compatible, if I may ask?
Yeah its fine. I had to change the shortcut compatability options to Windows 98 and it crashes if I up the resolution to anything higher than 1024x768 but its no biggie. From the brief moments I seen of it before a crash in higher resolutions it looks exactly the same regardless.

Interesting.
Both IWD 1&2 and the Neverwinter Nights Complete are still there in my game list on GG.

Yeah, everything vanished off my shelf last night and is still blank this morning, however, everything is still there if you click the all games tab and you get the full list.

Don't you have to manually put stuff on the shelf at GamersGate? The list contains everything, but I think the shelf only contains stuff you've placed on it.

EDIT: Mystery solved. :P

Yeah you do, there is a support ticket on the Tutor bit about it, happened to quite a few people. Apparently they are doing site updates and the shelf has been killed!

iainmet: Was thinking along those lines, just surprised in all honesty, moreso that GOG dont get any form of credit for their fixes and installers on the games page.
If they do use the same GOG installers, then GOG gets plenty of credit in the advertising during the install (you know, the blurbs about other stuff on GOG). I imagine they get a lot of new customers that way who wanted an old game but wouldn't otherwise know about GOG.

They get ads with this but they also loose money. If you can get it for free with blue coins on GG why will you buy it second time on GOG?
I think some publishers just give their games' GOG installers to all the DD's and even to the retailers.

For all we know, it *may* be within their rights to do so. Which would be a bad thing for GOG. It would be kind of interesting to hear more about this from a Blue.
