It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Same thing happened with me yesterday with Firefox. I ended up reinstalling Chrome, and everything has been fine since.

Ghorpm: You know what, when I cleaned everything with ccleaner it didn't help. But when I did the same using Opera properties it helped. I've no idea why but it did

lowyhong: FUCK YES THANK YOU! Clearing my cache from Firefox itself worked.
np. I'm glad it helped!
more testing

edit: OK, previous message was sent via phone. I had to clear pretty much EVERYTHING EVER in FF to post this one. This also affected Chrome and IE.

Pretty sure it's not packet loss since one PC in the house would post fine and the other would not. If this post, umm, posts, then what "worked" for me, and what didn't:

- clearing cache and cookies did not help.
- noted that I was running FF 16.01 on the PC that wouldn't post, while the other is running 16.02. Rebooted (FF installer insisted on it) and updated.

If you can read this, it worked.
Doesn't depend on the browser version, though, I had the same problem in 16.02, not to mention Chrome and IE.

edit: test in IE
edit2: alright, IE works now after cleaning FF, Chrome still doesn't
edit3: more testing
edit4: had to do the same delete everything thing for Chrome, works now

Ditto on this one.

Yeah, wasn't sure that was it. It's more likely to have been the reboot (that PC is always-on), and I should have separated those two actions.
testing one two three

Had the same thing happening to me just now. I could type a post, and click the "Post my message" button. The button was then replaced by the animated circle graphics and the "Please wait - Processing" message, as usual. But that was it, the post was never sent, nor did the window close.

Clearing the cache, and deleting all cookies from gog.com, seems to have fixed the issue. I'm on Firefox 16.0.2 on my netbook. Yesterday, on my desktop, I had no problems with the same setup.
