Who else here is excited for watch dogs? personally, i think it might be a cool game, be I'll wait for reviews.
It seems to be very hyped, I'm not exactly sure why though.

Hope it's a good game none-the-less.

Even if I was OK with uplay, I would still be unable to play the game thanks to its ridiculous requirements.

Yeah it is pretty insane for the recommended requirements on PC isn't it, just the processor alone is ridiculous i.e. an i7 or equivalent. Its probably going to be another badly optimized game like the last few Assassin's Creeds on PC.

Even the minimum is stupid. 6 Giga Ram? Really?

Yeah, really stupid as I don't understand why Ubisoft continues to make their games CPU intensive eating up system RAM instead of making it highly optimized for the GPU.

I don't think it's exclusive to Ubisoft. Call of Duty: Ghosts also required 6 Giga Ram.

Nah, that was just them trying to make it appear like its a next gen game by initially providing ridiculous min. system requirements. I think a patch came out later which allows you to play the game with 4 GB standard RAM.

If they really did release such a patch, they should update their Steam page to reflect the changes, because it still requires 6 Giga Ram, according to it.

Yeah, I am not sure if its an official patch by them or a modder maybe that is why they haven't updated the page. But, it was proven that the game can run fine with 4 GB RAM so those requirements are a load of crap from Infinity Ward.

At any rate, risking €60, hoping that the game's requirements are inflated, is not exactly a confidence-inspiring plan.

Ofcourse not, even downloading the game to test if it can run is not really worth all the effort because of the huge size of the game as could have been done during the free multiplayer weekend on Steam recently. :)

EDIT: It was an official patch though found the link, check the Nov 19, 2013 entry under Performance.

U-Play so not interested...

That for starters. Other than that, it just look like yet another open city game with a gimmick, and I have saints row for that as I think it's the silliest one around (and I like it silly for these things). Not looking forward to spending 30 hours in repetitive side missions and a not so interesting main story, if I had 30 gaming hours I'd start with a good RPG thank you very much.

Pass.
