Another reminder that Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf - Complete Edition is going to be delisted from all digital distribution platforms on the 11th of October, due to an expiring license agreement.

As usual, no mention of GoG in any of the delisting announcements I could track down, but all digital distribution platforms surely means all digital distribution platforms.
I wonder how many Unity based game will be removed from Gog and from other digital stores . ( also how will this affect Devolver Digital )

In case one doesn't trust the Steam forums, they also denied actual deletion plans on Twitter: https://twitter.com/cultofthelamb/status/1702091821273461176

None; there's no reason to. The real question is how many devs will drop Unity and move to a different engine for future games (or even, in a few cases, their existing games), but that has no effect on games being delisted.

What if I don't trust twitter? (Or, rather, X as the site apparently calls itself now.)

(In any case, Unity changed their plans after the outcry, and the new plans shouldn't result in older titles having to be pulled.)

In that case you wouldn't have believed their "we're yanking Cult of the Lamb" announcement in the first place, so the "it was a joke, chill" follow-up would be irrelevant.

The devs of Boomerang X have run out of money and will be shutting down:

Also, Telltale is facing layoffs once again:

Telltale really should stop focusing on licencing and decision making games / interactive animated comic books.

Their first adventures were great, als TWAU was good, but I couldn't be bothered to play their latest TWD seasons and Batman S2 was like walking through mud or with very sticky gum under my feet.

Boomerang ... the publisher is still active and the game hasn't received updates for a long time anyway. Maybe it will stay.

on a sidenote: It's funny, wherever someone talks about "X", they all add "Twitter" to explain what they mean, usually it's "Twitter/X". I dare to say that literally no one uses "X" to talk about the platform.
According to the tags, Boomerang X (2021) is a Classic, so preserving it should be right up GOG's alley. :-P
Deleted.

At GAConf, this announcer did throw some shade at X/Twitter a few times (including a sarcastic "Thinks, Elon" statement at one point).

Then again, they did also have a talk about Unity's new accessibility features (though it may very well have been recorded before the licensing fiasco).

"...the artist formerly known as Prince..." :D
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf - Complete Edition has been delisted from GOG store yesterday. Contrary to Steam, no official announcement from GOG, despite an early warning from the devs.

Thanks to Korotan for the opportunity to own and play a GOG copy :)

"New sales of Warhammer Quest will end shortly on Steam. Thanks for all your support for this game over the years."

Probably GOG edition will follow the suit sooner or later - https://www.gog.com/en/game/warhammer_quest

I don't know how ANYONE could take a license from GW and try to build a livelihood on it. GW goes out of their way to screw over any and every partner as much as they can, big or small.
