JamesBond007: Talisman: Origins qualifies for this list.

I asked the devs about lack of updates and apparently it looks like the game wasn't popular enough, so the licence will eventually expire and won't be renewed.

However, Talisman: Digital Edition is safe for now, as it still receives updates and bugfixes.
Added! Thanks!

Also, the game and its DLCs are on sale right now.

Some things from the DRM'd Talisman game here on GOG are on sale too, but I'm not sure how likely it is to be delisted.
And it's on sale right now . =)

Talisman is often on sale on GOG. this is not related to any delisting. Digital Edition is unlikely to be delisted for now, because it is still popular enough to renew the license. It's also still developed and maintained as I said before.

eiii: Why does that need a remaster? The game is from 2014 and the graphics still look good.

_Auster_: I ask this myself every time I see a remaster announcement.
They could put those games in an emulator with a generous native resolution setting or forward the customer to dev's choice of graphics mods (or maybe even make an optional mod/patch/DLC themselves) and the results would be much better without the need to make a fancy "remaster" that accomplishes nothing but having an inflated price.
And happy investors. It's not like companies aren'tjust taking the graphics mods and marketing them as remasters, anyway. I noticed most remasters tend to be low budget upgrades. It also makes a company look more alive when they're between major releases.

To clarify: do you mean Nomad's license from Games Workshop to sell the game anywhere, or GOG's license from Nomad to sell it here?
Also, somewhat tangential to this thread, but any idea whether Origins has updates on Steam/elsewhere that aren't here?

Nomad's license to sell the game anywhere. Also, as far as I know Origins doesn't have exclusive updates on other platforms.

Sad. Not that it's a particularly good game in the shape it's in right now, mind you, but it's a shame that single-player-focused Talisman will be even less well supported than it has been. And to think that the bare-bones Talisman: Prologue was available for, what, at least seven years? Assuming this license expiration they hinted at will come sooner rather than later, Origins may wind up having been available for less than five. :(
Maybe those games aren't at high risk of being removed, but just in case, the writer of Coffee Talk and Coffee Talk 2 (yet to be released) recently passed away, as announced by Toge Productions.

Dangerous Dave collection could be at risk as a new collection of these old games apparently are trying to get aprroved for Gog or something

Did a quick search, but couldn't find any sources, though.

John Romero intends to bring Dangerous Dave: Champion's Edition to GOG: source https://twitter.com/romero/status/1472706753322262535 I'd have had that source in my first message if my net hadn't been acting up for abit to find the source at that time but ya as a result if that comes here the old collection might be gone
Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus is gone.

The technical term is “doing a beamdog”.

If they are upgrades at all, more and more I'm seeing 'remasters' that end up with missing graphical effects, performance issues and come with all new Bethesda style buggery.

Then they are doing a great job! After all the fixes and improvements their version is the best way to play those game today, except the expansion, that expansion is so terrible...
