Wolfy777: I got together a proper thread about autism and got great responses and a proper discussion.

Thanks to the GOG userbase for being so awesome. :D

dtgreene: You're welcome.

If only we could discuss topics like feminism or LGBTQ issues in a similar manner...
People advocate for censorship until they get it, and then they suddenly realize that they too have been affected by it. Ultimately, when one is silenced eventually ALL are silenced. I suppose at best we can rack that up to nothing more than social equilibrium, just with a really low set of parameters.

Still, the whining masses finally getting a taste of the oppression that they so desperately sought, the sting of irony from that makes me very happy, indeed. This is what you want, this is what you get.

1) I think Dtgreene's point has less to do with your "omg censorship censorship" than with what people like you make of such threads.

2) Everybody is pro-"censorship", either on this or on that. And the most outspoken "anti-censorship" band on the forum have proved it more than anyone, with the violence of their advocacy against some games publication and with their efforts to silence some cultural critiques.

3) Yawn.

I can't understand what you want to say on a topic "what made you happy today?".

For instance, I went outside this morning and was greeted by a lovely double rainbow. On top of that, the right-hand part of the arc landed right in a small local lake so I'm going to borrow some scuba gear and find me a pot o' gold!

ciemnogrodzianin: Existence of antibiotics.
Just remember:
* Only use antibiotics if you actually need them. (There's a good reason they require a doctor's prescription; overuse causes bacteria to develop immunity, making them less effective in the future.)
* If you are prescribed antibiotics, don't stop when you feel better; keep taking them until you run out. Otherwise, bacteria will have more of a chance to develop immunity, which can cause the illness to come back and not be as easily treatable.)

Thank you, I'm quite aware of how it works. I'm even somehow interested in antimicrobial resistance problem, which seems to be quite a challenge for all of us in near future.

From doctor I know about a few difficult cases from Polish hospitals, where we have some people infected by antibiotic-resistant bacteria. It's really difficult issue, even from legal point of view, because in some of these cases there seems to be no reason to keep these people in the hospital, but they also cannot be sent home because of potential danger for society. It gives me another, real-world perspective for science articles about AMR/ABR. Quite frightening, to be honest.
