As for what I hope to happen next year is that my national currency, rupiah (IDR) will be at least at 10,000 per USD. Or better, at 8,000 per USD and stable at that level is what I dream of. This month mostly it's at around 1:12,000, weakening since mid year. My currency sux!

For 2014 I'm praying that someone with determination and the capability to get the job done will step in to bring the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan finally under control. The amount of radiation that this thing has been giving off into the Japanese environment and the Pacific is terrifying.
