Krankor: Endless surprises at GOG (no way did I ever think we'd see a Racing Promo!).
chautemoc: DId you miss the first one? That was a good week. :)
iWi: It usually works this way, that there is a certain sell-off period during which certain publisher or distributor (Codemasters in this case) are not allowed to produce given title anymore, but they can sell the remaining stock. Once the stock is on the shelve it can stay there for years even and its really up to the retailer if they are willing to carry TOCA 3 or they want to return it.
Weclock: Also, they may retain the rights in certain countries to still use those names.
For Example, in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom in Japan, Tatsunoko is one company, but here in America a bajillion different companies own the rights to all the different Tatsunoko characters, which means because Capcom is bringing the game here, they have to make deals with everyone here.
Weclock: Yeah, REALLY impressed with them for that. And MvsC2 was tough to get as well. Can't help it, I am a total whore for Capcom. I hope they come here one day -- they would definitely fit in well in terms of personality and catalogue.
BoxOfSnoo: I think TOCA was because of licenses they use in the game - Codemasters couldn't distribute it indefinitely.
I grabbed CMR without a second thought though. I think this was the shortest announcement-to-purchase time for me yet! Probably under 1 minute :)
PhoenixWright: Under a minute for me as well. Boy, this advertising is really working on me.
PhoenixWright: I didn't see any advertising.
What exactly from Capcom's back-catalogue would you like to see here. They do not have many old PC titles unfortunately.
LazyAndroid: Oh, you have Codemasters on your catalogue? I really loved Micro Machines when I was a kid, would you bring those back?
It is being discussed, but it does take quite some time. In other words - we are working on it :)
iWi: They move on with the development and its really tough to go back to a game and let's say remove half of the cars - do not forget its not only about the names. Let's say Subaru for example looks in a certain characteristic way and you would have to change the actual car, what becomes really difficult.

StealthKnight: So Gog does not count as a retailer that chose to keep it on the shelf but Steam does? Sounds like an overly complicated situation that shouldn't be.
All I can say is that's what is in our agreement and we have to follow it. There is no evil master plan behind it or anything - you will surely see both TOCA and Colin disappearing from the shelves/platforms all around the world, but it does depend on specific terms of each company, their sell-off periods, etc.
