The graphics are stunning IMHO, and the atmosphere looks promising (I love "low fantasy", mystical history or mythology). Can't wait for the main solo game.

Well, I’d have preferred a more historical and less mythology, non-fantasy game. But yeah, I agree, what has been shown from the game so far looks absolutely fantastic. From the graphics to the storytelling, this looks simply beautiful!
I wonder if the game will have Dwarves and Elves, seeing as they originate from Norse mythology, ie stuff like the Dokkalfar and Ljosalfar.
I'd honestly forgotten about this game. Looking good though.

I didn't know gameplay vids have been already out. Thanks for the update. This looks as good as I hoped for. If nothing weird gets in my way, it's going to be my day-1 purchase on GOG.

It looks fantastic. Haven't read through all the material, but is there a single-player game coming out of this as well as the multiplayer? If so, this will likely be an instant purchase for me.

Yeah. The game was planned as a single-player trilogy from the start. The multiplayer game (The Banner Saga: Factions) was released as a free standalone game. I understand that the guys from Stoic (developer) use it for testing stuff that they want to implement into the single-player game. But again, the core game they started the Kickstarter campaign for (The Banner Saga) is a single-player game.

Sweet! Definitely a must-buy for me when it debuts. I hope GOG will be getting it then.

Why not? I don't think I've ever seen a video game actually go back to the actual mythological origins of common fantasy tropes. More original than just using the stock standard Elves.

Because dwarves, elves or alike creatures are in almost every role-playing game out there. It's like zombies in action games. If enemies aren't named zombies, they still are there, look and behave like that only with different names and different backstory at times. It won't be a deal breaker yet I hope they won't be there too.

Note: Tha'ts my reason. Maybe XYCat's reasons differ.
