It was not about the way you questioned him. It's that none of your questions touched on that specific part of his post, which, imo, was far from being a small bit or piece. Perhaps I'm biased, because I knew all along that I protected cristigale on N3, but going from "I tried to kill her and failed" to "so someone else tried to kill her at the same time" is a pretty big jump when, as you yourself said, a number of other things could have, and one did, prevented her death.


When and where did I say that I find you more suspicious? I just don't find you less suspicious.

For instance, I'm not sure I buy your claim of being Wesley Gibson (from Wanted) as the one-shot Town Vigilante. Wesley Gibson was the son of an assassin, who himself became a member of an international guild of assassins, and takes them out to revenge his father's death. How does his backstory supposedly make you Town Vigilante, and a one-shot at that, in our setup?


You say that if I or cristigale are Mafia, "he will win the game on the spot". I assume that "he" refers to me, but if cristigale's Mafia, why and how do I still win the game on the spot?

You then go through the case of "If HSL is who he claims to be he can block me so cristi can investigate me" - if both of us are who we say, and you're also town as you claim, and flubbucket flips Town on Lynch... why didn't the game end N3?

And you also touch lightly on the case of a neutral-cristigale, but only in the context of not using my Vigilante ability on you.

What if flubbucket flips Town on Lynch, and cristigale is not who she claims to be? If she's Mafia or Neutral with a killing ability, what stops her from killing you, or better yet me since, in this case, I'm the one standing in her way to victory? I block you, so even if you're not who you claim to be, you can't do anything unless you have a Strongman ability hidden in your sleeve, and she kills me. If you are who you claim to be, you and Town are screwed, if you're not, the outcome depends on what role and abilities you actually have.


I don't disagree with it being noteworthy, I'm just saying that after he clarified about drealmer7 and Bookwyrm627, clarifying about the double tap didn't feel as standing out more. Your pointed question about the double tap seemed like you found it more noteworthy, hence my initial reply to you.

From what I recall, he expected people to flip exactly the way he investigated them since he had the info about the quotes, and was more puzzled that he didn't get them in his results. Are we saying the same?

As I said, the part about him killing drealmer7 I find the most believable. I also can't find a good enough, logical reason for lying about trying to kill you two Nights in a row, other than not taking responsibility for the deaths of Lifthrasil and JMich perhaps. Though in regards to the unaccounted deaths of the latter two, I'm more inclined to think that the liar is among those having claimed to have no killing ability. And given the flavour, I assume that their killer doesn't have a gun.

What I find hard to believe is how these neighbourhood watch and Zimmerman backstories fit in with the very flimsy reasons he gave for picking his targets, and being so determined to kill you. I'd think that a Town Vigilante with a neighbourhood watch background would be a little more careful, if not serious, about who he goes out to kill. More so after seeing the number of N1 dead bodies. I mean, he's supposed to be town aligned, and contribute in eliminating all threats to Town. And at least as what N2 and N3 concerns, there were more suspicious targets to pick than you. Especially, N3 - even if he didn't initially believe trentonlf, and we all doubted him, after his clear Town flip he should have reconsidered, shouldn't he?

It just doesn't add up.


OK, this does make sense in the context of it working as a balancing tool, as I thought at first glance. But mentioning another role, and how its use in it would be diminishing, is still pretty confusing to me.


I obviously won't volunteer to be lynched. Not only because it's anti-town on principle, but more so because I trust neither of you and flubbucket to be who you claim to be. flubbucket is a claimed killing power, with nothing really supporting he's on Town's side, and you too may have a killing ability you're keeping concealed; someone killed JMich and Lifthrasil, and it was not me, nor do I think it was flubbucket. If cristigale is who she claims to be, Town stands no chance, unless, as she said, you two kill each other. And since neither of the two of you is dumb, and having discussed it this much, can she really expect you to go that route?


I see that dedoporno voted, which means that both flubbucket and dedoporno have each one vote. I need to think about where my vote's going.

Though I think both dedoporno and flubbucket are some form of anti-town, I can unfortunately only vote one, so I'm inclined to go for the claimed killing role.

I started a reply to dedo earlier about my take on you and him. I wish I had something more concrete. Took a break and got some supper, the break didn't result in additional clarity.

If flubb is telling the truth about his actions, one of dedo or you must be lying about your role. In terms of roles and balance, flub and your roles seem to make more sense for town. My role needs luck to be useful, trent's role and the flips had something unusual going on. Flub and your role both provide town with a little bit more teeth. A 1-shot vigilante seems a under-powered, if dedo and I are the remaining town. If there is a third town, the 1 shot makes more sense in regards to balance. You claimed last. If your lying, you had the luxury of tailoring your claim to the info provided. Dedo's posts sound like town but I wonder if he isn't trying to do that. I should qualify that with I found myself skimming through the portions of your and dedo's interactions that felt like arguing for the sake of it.

For me it come down to, I am more convinced that flubb is lying (about part of his claim), than I am about either of dedo or you. Flub's claimed name continues to strike me wrong. It's a purposefully fake name while the other names are either from real people or characters with names that have a genuine bent to them. I tend to agree that his reasons for purportedly trying to kill me twice in a row does not sound like it comes from a pro-town mindset.

Fun fact: I was going to claim another Wesley (Dodds) who is the original Sandman from the DC comics and has a gas gun to incapacitate criminals. I was going for Town Role Blocker who is a gun owner but can't kill. Only by accident I discovered there is another real-life person called Westley Dodds (added "t") who was, of course, a serial killer :D That along with the fact that all characters seemed to be either real people or from some form of cinema/tv made me drop it. Even my character's inspiration who is originally from a comic book was explicitly poiting to the movie. Now I see Lift was a comic book character but maybe for consistency the Suicide Squad movie should have been listed as the inspiration. Unless it was like that intentionally.

By the way, it seems the info provided by RW is incomplete. I was also shy and my win-con was a mexican standoff. It said I will win if I'm against a Mafia player, so I assumed I jsut kill them since I'm more skilled but I guess I was wrong and I just win with them. Still good.

The other three nights I was just shooting at HSL. At my first attempt we weren't even arguing yet, but he was one of my earliest scum pings and more importantly I just didn't want to deal with his questioning and large posts later mostly because of time/RL constraints (sorry, HSL, nothing personal, I was being pragmatic) and then I just got stubborn with it. I also figured another shy killer may be after him so I was also couting on concealing the execution style kill for as long as possible as an added bonus. I thought cristi might be stopping me and I was stopping her but I had to play along with the Parity cop claim.

Last, but not least - murderous high-five to HSL! (By the way, everything I said about RL in any context was true and will always be so when it comes from me, I promise).

Honestly dedoporno I made up the name Shooty McShootpants to expedite my lynch. I knew I was going out of town and didn't want to bog down the game. I thought the claim,NK info and obviously stupid name would make me the clear lynch. I didn't want to use the Zimmerman name because frankly I find him a sad and pathetic testament to America today. However the actual lie was kind of hard to avoid....at least I thought. It seems fewer players knew about him than I realized. This is a window into my lack of understanding of local and international media.....but I digress.

@ber144, first off, an apology for my language when I snapped at you the other day. That post rubbed me the wrong way pretty hard, and I should have stayed away from the game longer. On a side note, you were wrong about that tell of scum-me - if you go over my games, you'll see that I rarely bring up things happening in the physical world, and only when it is or may be interfering with the game, and I've done it as either alignment.

I was very entertained by the thought that yogsloth had killed all the players that served as plot devices, given that Arthur Bishop was an expert in making his kills look like accidents and such. No idea if that's what the mod wanted us to think, though.

@RWarehall - why did you clarify on the speculations regarding Bookwyrm627/drealmer7 and the double tap?

I admit II didn't expect the “Town” Bodyguard of Arsonist to make a reappearance.

I like how we had a N0 during which nobody could do anything; I think it was quite effective in making us think that there's an organised town.and investigative roles in play for quite some time.

The fact that I thought that everyone and their cat had a killing ability, much like my own, made me factor in trentonlf's reported night-actions as killing attempts - the way he intentionally muddled his N2 action made me certain he wasn't who he said he is, and not having thought of the Day-Vig,mechanic, I couldn't see a way for him to win. Makes his comment about Day-Vigging drealmer7 quite funny now.

After Lifthrasil died the way he did, I wondered if anyone's name was Patrick, as creepy American Psycho Christian Bale came to mind.

I believed dedoporno was Wesley Gibson (but not Town Vigilante), and that he took out yogsloth - at that point in the game, I was pretty sure cristigale had killed both Lifthrasil and JMich, and had forgotten that HijacK had a bigger motive to take yogsloth out of the picture N1, so the bit dedoporno himself posted about the film's end scene that linked him to bler144's kill didn't quite click.

Because I did not intend people to think the double-tap was two shots coming from different people. There were intentional smoke and mirrors but I was not trying to lie to anyone in a Bookwyrm sort of way.
