Even as RVS goes, what's your reasoning in popping out with a random.org pick instead of something from your own brain that other players might react to? If you're town isn't that a bit...counterproductive?

Though certainly we can't all vote Number Six just for relevance.

Trying to compile what I've read in the sign-up thread and here, a few thoughts:

1) If game day is going to be roughly 5 RL days, and we're liable to be slowish through the weekend, it doesn't seem ideal to linger in RVS. I don't have a way to break us out of that other than to note that my vote is not ennnnntirely RVS, albeit it's certainly in reaction to a vote that does seem to be RVS. But if we were lynching now I'd stick with that vote.

2) Mod posts tend to indicate that, despite pre-game teasing otherwise, that it's a fairly typical town/mafia setup and not a cult game, etc.

3) As fun as it would be to convince everyone to brig flub for his longstanding pattern of crimes against humanity and social graces, if I'm following the mechanics, it seems like - making standard assumptions about game setups and numbers - we probably don't want to end D1 with anyone actually brigged if there's no specific reason to do so.
1) My vote is also not entirely RVS....flubb is teasing Cylon with his avatar and tagline both. I know he's done this before as scum. What I can't remember...does he do this as town as well?

2) Having watched the miniseries, I wondered if there might be a hidden Cylon...someone who doesn't know they are. If there is, I don't think we can do anything with it now. It's just a thought....so far all appears normal beyond the brig.

1) Heh, I didn't notice the tagline. Isn't his avatar just a traffic cone? What's the cylon connection? Who was the person who had the vanilla bean avatar? Wasn't that him as scum or...?

2) What made you wonder that? Was that prior to or after reading the full game OP/rules?

Unrelated to this, but instead to my other questions for you, do you think Vitek makes that same opening post as town or maf?

Well as I was typing it it would have been the first legit post of the game (I got ninja'd). Normally I'd at least pick on some facile reason to vote for someone (as I have done since :P) but at that point I couldn't think of anything so I just kicked it off. Amusingly, the person I voted for was the one who ninja'd me. That bastard.

Hey, bler!

Are you talking about the Championships? I enjoy watching them. I actually played in a July 4th themed turbo yesterday, 13 town arsonists (this made me smile) and 4 scum arsonists. Was crazy, but went too fast for me.

Not a clue on what Vitek is thinking. I seem to give off a scum vibe (so I'm told), so that's possible.

1) What does pylon rhyme with? And yes....the vanilla bean was flubb....but I don't recall the specifics on that either...grr...I don't want to go searching.

2) It was just a thought that struck me at the end of the miniseries....with the reveal. Nothing specific in the game.

Lol - I totally missed that. I tend to think of pylons referring to the architecture sense, and those as cones.

I don't know who he was talking about, but the only posters at that point were trent/zfr/wyrm/spf/flub/you. Mostly I just wanted to see if it made you squirm at all.

As a meta read, your pursuit of LHF and this bloodthirstiness don't really speak to either alignment, that I can recall. Not a wood nymph again, I'm assuming?

Imagine that you could go back in time, or that the game had some sort of mechanism for unvoting and voting anew to allow you to vote again, who would you have voted for and what facile reason would you have given?

I like it. It's fun. Whether it makes you any easier to sort, we'll see. ;)

And yes, Oakwood reference.

Vitek's opener reminded me a bit of something Krypsyn did once as mafia in RVS where he came out of the gate with a vengeance, but those were different circumstances (ahem, Lift's game where a mafia player could very legit scumread a non-aligned player and be right).

I tend to read it as slight townlean here. WIFOM and all, why would cylon!vitek put himself on the hook to justify a scumread from the first six posts when everyone else is just fartin' around and two posters can't even be assed to half-ass their RVS votes?
