I only done one post too I think??

Also my name has always been my name and my pic hasn't changed but I want to change it, just not had time to find a good one, and I can't really justify looking at cute bunnies at work, like I can (barely) justify posting in a message forum :D

I decline to answer your questions at the moment, I need to concentrate for a bit on work :<

flubbucket: Can I move in with you?? I'm litter-box trained and can sleep anywhere. I can live on whisky and microwave popcorn.

I also have a Nintendo.
Whole Nintendo? Deal.
I would take you even untrained with such assets.
I am off to buy a litterbox.

Flub is voting himself and me?

avatar
ZFR: No.

I played flub, HSL, trent, Bookwyrm in a mafia game, and cristi (barely) in Secret Hitler. This is my third game.

I used random.org in the previous game I played because what else?
OK, my bad.
I guess I see so much gold around that you seemed familiar.

Many reasons. Look what other people used. Should be mostly not-game related but it can sometimes show some connections when someone flips mafia. Like voting other scum to distance themselves. As absolutely random voting negates it, it can be gleamed as slightly scummy.

Vitek: Flub is voting himself and me?
Should have said bler, amended.

JoeSapphire: Bookwyrm has only done one post. So has Trenton. Questions for the two: What are your favourite measures of town/mafianess? If everybody was on 6 votes right now, who would you hammer?
I tend to rely more on a gut feeling of people than anything else, and when I'm wrong about someone it tends to be spectacularly wrong lol.

If everybody was on 6 votes right now I would say we were playing a very strange game and would want to know where all the extra votes came from :-P, but I guess you are really asking who we feel is the most likely candidate for scum right now and my answer would be I don't know. Give it another day or two and I will have a better answer for you on a who is possibly scum.

I will say this though, if anyone starts talking PM information or Role information I will vote them and pursue their lynch as I find that to be one of the things that breaks games and is a scummy play. Now in later stages of the game it is inevitable that role talk or PM information in general will happen and that is understandable, but in the first couple of days there is no reason for it unless someone is about to be lynched and they claim.

But I barely know those people...

That aside, even if I knew them it wouldn't matter. I assume all are intelligent. If X is a pre-game or non-game related action that is scummy, they'd be intelligent to know not to do it. If it's a towny action, they'd be intelligent to know to do it. Regardless of their allignment.

HypersomniacLive: Brig cristigale - too eager to kill indiscriminatingly; better safe than sorry.
YOU CAN'T BRIG ALL OF US!!

bler144: 1) If game day is going to be roughly 5 RL days, and we're liable to be slowish through the weekend, it doesn't seem ideal to linger in RVS. I don't have a way to break us out of that other than to note that my vote is not ennnnntirely RVS, albeit it's certainly in reaction to a vote that does seem to be RVS. But if we were lynching now I'd stick with that vote.

2) Mod posts tend to indicate that, despite pre-game teasing otherwise, that it's a fairly typical town/mafia setup and not a cult game, etc.

3) As fun as it would be to convince everyone to brig flub for his longstanding pattern of crimes against humanity and social graces, if I'm following the mechanics, it seems like - making standard assumptions about game setups and numbers - we probably don't want to end D1 with anyone actually brigged if there's no specific reason to do so.

In general to all, but particularly
@wyrm
...thoughts?
1) I'm not sure what you see in Primal, but I'd be up for killing him.

2) Agreed. This is pretty much my read on the setup as well.

3) I've been thinking on it while reading, and I'm seeing it as a roleblock that is controlled by town in the same way the lynch is controlled by town. Assuming 1 death each Day and 1 death each Night, the Brig option is no longer available starting on Day 5, so I'm inclined to use it on someone as long as that someone isn't me. Maybe we'd get lucky and a jailer could stop the remaining cylon's NK.

cristigale: 1) What does pylon rhyme with? And yes....the vanilla bean was flubb....but I don't recall the specifics on that either...grr...I don't want to go searching.
You see a traffic cone and think pylon? o.O

This is a pylon.

PPE: Well dang. A google image search for "pylon" yields several traffic cones and not a single Protoss pylon.

avatar
littlerabbit: 2.@cristigate - that’s quite worrying to think that someone town could be in fact a cylon sleeper! I think that’s a very good point.
I think that's a bastard mechanic in a game we were told was non-bastard. And naturally, now I can't find where we were told the game was non-bastard. -.-

JoeSapphire: NMillar had a theory that the first person to break the random voting stage and attempt to craft an argument should be lynched.
NMillar's theory is bunk and should be treated as such.

JoeSapphire: Bookwyrm ... Questions : What are your favourite measures of town/mafianess? If everybody was on 6 votes right now, who would you hammer?
A sane cop read. Myself, to escape the bastard game (this is probably a lie).

=====

@Mod: Two questions.
1) Can a player place a lynch-vote and a brig-vote on the same person?

2) What happens with the lynch if time runs out?

=====

Unvote Damnation

Vote Joe

Brig Rabbit

=====

Last thought: You can refer to my slot as "Book" throughout the game without any issues. :D

2) No lynch happens and night falls.

I suppose, like the lynch, there's a greater likelihood of town being brigged than mafia, due to their conniving. The difference is if we lynch the wrong person we know it, and we find useful information through which we can analyse the rest of the players. If we bring the wrong person we don't know and we learn nothing.

I suppose analysing brig votes might give us more information too however... Still, to me it seems best to wait until after we've lynched our first cylon.

Thanks, though, for pointing out about it can't be used with only 5 players! Let's all remember and remind each other about that!

Trenton speaks a lot of sense about not giving info about roles! I like sense.

Thanks, both for answering my questions! Didn't really expect that...

The brig option ceases to be available at 4 players, not 5:

PoppyAppletree: If there are below five players, it will no longer possible to brig other players.

PoppyAppletree:
Thanks For clarifying. I see how you words.
Just a quick heads up, everyone, while I have electricity. We're experiencing repeated power outages of varying duration in my area for the past 15hrs (long story involving a sleepless night, and no ETA as to when the problem's going to be solved for good; fingers crossed it's going to be before the weekend's out), so I'm probably not going to be around (much?) in the next day or two.

Needless to say I'm not caught up here, but I'll do my best once I get some decent rest.

I've never heard of a traffic cone referred to as a pylon. Is this an American English thing?

bler144: Imagine that you could go back in time, or that the game had some sort of mechanism for unvoting and voting anew to allow you to vote again, who would you have voted for and what facile reason would you have given?
No time machine necessary, I switched my vote to cristigale for wanting there to be murders in post... (scrolls up) 17.
