JoeSapphire: What YOGSLOTH has to say is certainly due to be interesting, but he's decided we're going to wait until the guy who asked to drop out of the game turns up to tell us something we already know.
*Applause*

I am soooo tempted to vote him now...

Joe! Remaining picks for scum? I am out for the blood of yogs and wyrm and I think we agree there but I admit now I can't decide between trent and lift. Why SPF over those two, other than his role?
avatar
trentonlf: As far as I’m concerned SirPrimalform can stay in the brig the rest of the game. I think he’s scum and have no desire to let him out. I also still think Lift is one of his buddies and needs to be our next lynch. I really want to hear from Damnation as to who he protected and why.

Now unless someone has an excellent reason why I shouldn’t place my vote on Lift that’s where my vote will be going and staying.
Well for a start, why not vote SPF? If you are convinced he's scum enough to leave him brigged, why not push to lynch him and be done with it? You have Joe already who would probably get on board with you. And I'm a guillible sonofabitch who trusts no one and everyone simultaneously (c.f. ZFR lynch...). There's 3 on the wagon, one of the other scum hammers to look townie, boom. You might as well do it now, right? Why are you reluctant to lynch someone you think is scum? A cylon is better dead than brigged, no?

Actually, I want Yogs to claim. Now. Think of it this way:---- *deletes all reasoning* actually, I don't want to give you ideas. You're active. Damnation isn't until Tuesday. That alone is a good enough reason for you to talk first.
avatar
yogsloth: I mean, come the heck on. I can't help having fun during a game. That's just how I play. From my very first game I didn't want to be a wallflower and watch the cool kids dance.
I enjoy reading this imagining a little false laughter and then increasingly desperate tone.
Does how you play often get you revenge-lynched?

avatar
yogsloth: You want to make an actual case against me, I mean, be my guest, but it's a waste of time.
I think I've given more of a case against you than you gave against ZFR. Dear, sweet Zephyr...

- on 'why I think SirP is scum' - because most everything he's said since being brigged is whining about it in a way that would only make sense if he were town. And because I want an easy life and if we can just leave him there for the rest of the game that suits me. Plus he's a roleblocker in a game with a bajillion other roles. Plus saying "quiet in the brig!" gave me immense satisfaction I recommend everybody try it.

hmm Yogsloth, SirPrimalform and Trentonlf sounds about right. Well it doesn't at all it sounds very wrong but I don't want to think about it.

I second the call for Yogsloth's claim!
alright I'm getting on a train now and I probably won't be online again until tomorrow. I don't actually have the balls to leave my vote on Yogsloth for that time.

unvote Yogsloth

But Ele, feel free to keep the spot warm for me!

trentonlf: /snip
Also you are entirely avoiding the central problem of Damnation/Yogsloth... I can't believe that wasn't the first thing I noticed about your post. I can understand Joe not voting SPF immediately because he's aiming squarely at Yogs at the minute, but I fail to understand why you aren't going for SPF, if you're convinced. Also why does Yogs get a pass from you?

Shutting up for a bit now, wouldn't want to inflate post counts to give Lift and wyrm another excuse for not reading properly. <3

Also Joe, your reasoning for scum-SPF seems kind of... thin. Apart from the "Quiet in the brig" thing, that I can totally understand.
Well, yesterday I thought Damnation was the scum amongst the two (soft-)claimed Doctors. But yog's reluctance to say what he did really looks like stalling. So right now I am leaning more to the 'yogs is the scum' side. I still think that one of the two has to be scum.

That trent want's to preserve the precarious 4-votes to (mis)-lynch scenario doesn't surprise me. He is either very confidently on the wrong track or he sees me as the easy mis-lynch today. Which admittedly I am, since I mis-hammered yesterday. But with the attempt of derailing the ZFR wagon and shifting it to me, I saw no better choice. Lynching one of Damnation or yogs wasn't going anywhere. Joe was off the hook too. So with time running short, if trent+ZFR+Joe had managed to shift the wagon I would have been yesterdays mis-lynch. And my reasoning was: better lynch a claimed vanilla who might be scum than lynch the one player whom I know 100% sure to be town. Or worse yet, no one.

In any case, I think we need to get yog's claim and also some input from Damnation before lynching anyone today. We can't afford another mis-lynch.

Also I would like to know from Bookwyrm: why were you so sure that ZFR was scum Yesterday? You were pushing him quite hard.
Thank god for not being able to sleep for long in this heat. I should have an hour or so before I need to be elsewhere!

yogsloth: I will be voting for Damnation with passion and hellfire.
And yet you aren't - if you're 99.9% sure, as you state, that I'm scum, you wouldn't be afraid of your "town" vote instigating the 3 scum votes to pile on quickly, now would you?

With your "soft-claim" of a protective role, what's your story?

Does it defer from hitting someone other than bler over the head with computer parts, montiors and thus effectively smashing the Cylon detector?
I followed bler last night, and when someone showed up, I tried to protect him, first by attempting to sway the shadowy figure through talk, but since that didn't work, through violence.
He fought back and started hitting me with equipment, knocking me down while I get to watch him shoot bler dead.

So what's your story? I'd be surprised if it didn't mimic mine, just from the other perspective.

vote Yogsloth

ZFR wasn't Townie, pfffth, yeah, right. That's clearly why he flipped Cylon, right?

avatar
JoeSapphire: nice try. with one scum in the brig the votes won't add up.
Issue is: With one in the brig, it takes 4 to lynch. With one mafia in the brig, the mafia always have 1 vote on everyone.

I think the certainty of NOT having a potential scum vote on EVERYONE is safer than having a scum in the brig currently.

unbrig SirPrimalform

JoeSapphire: [X] Protected Bler.

[ ] Protected some other idiot.

[ ] Forgot to protect anybody.
Apparently someone can knock Helo on his ass. So yeah, there's most assuredly a Strongman of some kind on the Cylon team.

Yogsloth's scum, otherwise he would have provided you with information now if his fantasy scenario was true (Him being the protective role and me being the Cylon) for no other reason than to achieve a town win.
Well, there we go.

Yogs? Here's the microphone. Remember to speak directly into it. Please don't drop it when you're done.

I'm withholding my vote for the moment 'cos I want some answers from Trent, and I really want to see what yogs comes up with. I have absolutely no qualms about lynching yogs today. Claim! Claim! Claim!

@Lift, you're only "leaning scum" with yogsloth even after all of this? What's your doubt? You were the first full argument in favour of scum-Damn, i.e. post #1372. You also asked for yogs to claim in that post. What do you make of the fact that he still hasn't claimed?

While I'm yelling about claiming, how does everyone feel about going Pants Down? It seems silly to continue keeping secrets at this point. I'm prepared to claim first in the interests of transparency. After Yogs, that is. But I request wyrm go after me, since he has soft-claimed a PR.

@trent while I'm at it, how about bler's idea in #1357 ? (underlining mine)
avatar
bler144: This is one of the upsides of lynching ZFR, I would say, who is still in play to not just be maf but godfatherpresident.
For one, that probably clears Lift - I don't see buddy!Lift making that whole scene about "Hey, with your claim you could legit be Godfather!" Plus it would clear Joe. Though if I were Joe and ZFR flipped Maf I would definitely contemplate shooting Trent no matter what the daytime dealio was.
I admit the first part of this was part of my sketchy reasoning for voting ZFR yesterday...

Seriously the only reason I'm not voting yogs now (I typed the vote and deleted it, three times over) is because I am really excited to see what on earth he claims. If he dodges again, I'm voting without explaining myself further.

elebutterfly: @Lift, you're only "leaning scum" with yogsloth even after all of this? What's your doubt? You were the first full argument in favour of scum-Damn, i.e. post #1372. You also asked for yogs to claim in that post. What do you make of the fact that he still hasn't claimed?
I was only leaning scum as long as Damnation didn't say anything yet. I found Damnation's claim yesterday strange. As I explained yesterday. That's why I thought yesterday that Damn was the scum. Today that impression shifted. And yes, now I think that yogs is the scum.

So, yogs: claim now! And tell us everything you did at night! Each night!

After that I'll be happy to agree to a mass claim. But yogs should start.

Another yet unanswered question: Joe, if you are so sure that SPF is scum, why didn't you shoot him?

trentonlf: As far as I’m concerned SirPrimalform can stay in the brig the rest of the game.

I believe both are scum, having one briged is basically the same as lynching one of them. But, it’s a moot point now as Damnation has cast the last needed vote to release SirPrimalform. Now it takes 5 to lynch and scum probably controls 3 votes meaning we have to be unanimous in our voting decision as town in who to lynch becaise scum has no reason at all to get on a buddies wagon. If we had left the vote at needing 4 to lynch and having who I believe is scum in the brig it gave us the advantage.

One of Damnation or SirPrimalfiorm is lying, and of the two the one more likely to lying is SirPrimalform with a claim of Roleblocker.

I think we’ve screwed ourselves and are on a losing path. I think we released scum from the brig and now a mislynch means we probably lose. ZFR shouldn’t have been the lynch yesterday and that quick hammer from Lift before we had the chance to stop the lynch screams scum and you will not convince me otherwise.

I know I’m Town, and I have as a Town lock: Joe and ele. Between the rest I have most likely Town: bookwyrm and Damnation.

Scum team for me is probably Lift, yogs, and SPF. I’ll get on any wagon of those 3, if we don’t lynch one of them we probably lose. I will also be very happy to brig any of the three.
End of game vote count:

Lynch:

yogsloth - 1 (Damnation)

None - 6 (Lifthrasil, Bookwyrm, JoeSapphire, trentonlf, yogsloth, elebutterfly, SirPrimalform)

Brig:

Unbrig SirPrimalform - 4 (yogsloth, Lifthrasil, elebutterfly, Damnation)

None - 4 (Bookwyrm, JoeSapphire, trentonlf, SirPrimalform)

With 8 active players, it takes 5 votes to reach a consensus.

SirPrimalform has been unbrigged, and the Brig count will be reset.

The Cylons have achieved parity with the Crew, and there is now no way to prevent their victory. Please stand by for the end of game flavour post. You're welcome to keep posting in the meantime.

Four cylons then.

GG cylons.
*Sigh*

Good game all. Sorry Town that my play was so poor this game, I'm pretty sure my erratic play was a key factor in our loss :(
Nooooooooooooo-ooooooo....

GG mafia... wow.
GG.
