We all have purchased some games that just turned out to not be all that good in our days. Some might have looked good, some might just have been so cheap that you felt that you could take a chance on them, and some came with other games. So what are the worst games that you legally own?

Limbo of the Lost: I was well aware of what I was getting into when I purchased this game. I just bought it because I wanted to own it.
For those of you who don't know, Limbo of the Lost is a game filled with stolen material. And not from obscure games, oh no, they decided to steal things from Oblivion, Diablo 2, Thief 3, Unreal Tournament 2003 and many other games.

Stalin vs Martians I don't remember how much I payed for this, but it was not a lot. The fact that this game had got some of the worst review scores that I had ever seen made me curious. It deserved those review scores.

Global Domination This was a game that I bought because the box made it sound like it was some form of grand strategy game, where you had a lot of choices in how to conquer the world. In reality this is an arcadey game where you left click to send missiles towards the enemy, and right click on the missiles sent by the enemy to send counter missiles. All this on a spinning 3d globe, which made it impossible to defend regions that were on the other side of the world.

Eternity's Child A 2d platformer that I bought on a sale a while back. This game looked interesting, as it had an interesting art style, and the story sounded interesting enough. Sadly the gameplay was plagued with floaty controls, enemies that could take too much damage (and that respawned if their starting spot was outside the screen, which would often happen because you had to move backwards when shooting the enemies, to avoid taking damage), poor hit detection (this was also true for the platforms, sometimes the game would not properly register that you landed on one, and sometimes you would land on a platform that it looked like you missed), and generally poor level design.

Revelations 2012 This one came in the latest Be Mine bundle, and it was atrocious. Not quite as bad as say Stalin vs. Martians, but still really bad. The AI was odd, the level design was poorly thought out, the weapons had no feel to them, and the art style was inconsistent at best, and flat out bad most of the time.
Daikatana

EDIT : Actually remembered something better! Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter PS2 ... First game to return on the day of purchase (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM1z-vSoYBM mute the annoying guy and skip to a part where you can see the lagging run animations from enemy's... )

Bit.trip Runner

Shitty game design with fake difficulty and "pseudo old school style". This game just screams Hipster. And while we are at it.

And Yet IT Moves.

Horrible controls, game design thought of and programmed by a four year old. Shitty presentation using cheap stock images just to appear indie. Screaming pretentious all over the place.

Probably a few more turds, but those two regularly get my blood boiling.
*And Yet it moves: Game controls horribly, doesn't seem to work, is way more frustrating then fun

*Bob came in pieces: A prime example that adding physics to gaming isn't always fun.

*Osmos: Beginning is fun but the later levels get so frustrating and are so annoying that it is one of the few games I ragequit and uninstalled. I will never install that crap again.

* Deus Ex IW (not trolling, i'm dead serious), boring, cumbersome, uninteresting story and sidemissions, the whole game is bland on every level and therefor no fun at all to play.

I'm sure i have more but these where the first that immediatly popped in my head.

There's a few, but I'd have to nominate

Burnout Paradise : The Ultimate Box

as a contender. Very bad Consoletard port that actually got even worse. Epic 10-minute load times. Always-Online required! 3 different accounts required. Special account required. Constant crashes and freezes. System lockups.

The works. Not even worth the £5 or so sale price. Not even worth buying for £1....
Canabalt (from one of the Humble Bundles) probably gets close. I think I used to make more interesting games with BASIC in my childhood, like a couple of great Lunar Lander clones with moving platforms. Not to mention the advanced worm game I made at school and got a shining 10 (A+) for that computer course due to it.

My games didn't have such a cool soundtrack as Canabalt does, though. And I am unsure if it counts as it is apparently a freeware game, but I feel I did pay something for it in the Humble Bundle.

God dammit, I was gonna say Daikatana and now you stole it from me :-)

But yes, either Daikatana, Rogue Warrior or Stormrise. They are all abysmal.
In these times of big, cheap HDs I keep every game I own permanently installed, but there are a few that were uninstalled because I don't even want to be associated with them :P

At the moment the list of shame is as follows;

Faerie Solitaire

The Hacker Evolution games

Making History: The Calm and the Storm
Star Trek Legacy...

It was a present.

Huh? Never crashed with me, and I can play just fine offline. Never had a problem with excessive loading times either - longest I think was around 45 seconds.

Sounds like a faulty hard drive at your end.
Off the top of my head the worst games I own are all 360 titles. I have all my old PlayStation stuff in the loft so I know I've got worse hidden away, never mind the NES stuff! But sitting above my head on a shelf right now I have;

1.Project Gotham 3
2.Over G fighters
3.Clive Barker's Jericho

The later being the worst. I can think of plenty of games that are bad or that I even hate, but most of them have redeeming qualities that I'm man enough to recognise. But those three... they just bad.
Another vote for Osmos. Sure clicking on a freaking ball/planet to make it bounce randomly is what I consider to be fun. Or not.
First thing that springs to mind is Beyond Good and Evil:

*Completely and utterly broken camera controls.
*Some very frustrating gameplay - especially the awful stealth sections.
*I thought the story was pretty incoherent, especially the deus ex machina ending =\
*Terrible character design - ugly character models and horrible voice acting, even to the extent that some characters verge on being borderline racist.
*Poorly thought out game design - the game gives you an airship, of sorts, then a spaceship later on - yet having access to these doesn't open the game world up at all, in fact, upon getting the spaceship, the game world just closes off completely.

Have it on Steam, works just fine offline and the load time is maybe some 30 seconds which is just fine considering it loads the whole city.
Even the gameplay was really good if you are into arcade racers like the first NFS games.

um is this because you didnt like it or because it truly is a bad game? I thought it was great.
