_Auster_: Aquaria might be at risk of getting delisted.

From what I could find, the game was made by 2 developers, and the main developer of the 2 suicided after he was accused of something bad on Twitter and everyone turned against him almost immediately. (not entering in details to not derail the topic, but if someone wants to look for more context, this guy is also one of Night in the Woods' developers, Alec Holowka)

After that, the game started getting less and less sales, and now it's been 1 year and 1 month without any sales, at least according to ITAD.

So if the lack of sales is a sign of lack of interest from the remaining dev, he might end removing the game altogether.

And on a side note, Aquaria's engine is open source and has an updated fork on Github. I don't know how much at risk either versions of the engine are, but I think it's worth keeping an eye on them.
Thank you for the heads-up. I guess that explains why the game stopped appearing on promotions since 2018 (it used to get an 80% discount during sales). It's probably related to Holowka's death (RIP).

The problem with games never getting a discount is that they lose visibility and end forgotten among all the other store games.
I decided to buy the game. I hope some of the profits at least manage to get to Holowka's family.

Dead Space

Apparently it's getting either a remaster or a remake, and sadly nowadays that usually means the old version will be axed for good. And the GOG version is probably even more at risk because it can be played without any form of verifications, and EA is still trying to push their launcher on the users.

On a side note, this thread and quite a few more here in the forums could use that curation/playlist feature GOG had a few years ago. It would make things far more easy to keep track of.

EDIT: It seems the name is "GOGmix", and there's a wishlist entry for it here: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/bring_back_the_ability_to_editstart_a_gogmix

Original: And I don't remember what was this feature's name, so I couldn't find it in the community wishlist. Are there any wishlist entries for it there?

toxicTom: Nobody knows why they were banned? Like, for generating Steam keys for themselves and then selling them on their own on G2A and co? Afaik that is one reason some devs/pubs got the boot by Steam.
Another reason is selling their games elsewhere at a lower price (worth a mention to highlight monopolistic behaviour by Valve/Steam).

I think we should keep an eye on games published by 1C, according to this (rumor?) news.

Good catch, though wouldn't GOG's partnership with Epic mean these titles should be safe? Then again, there are several 1C games not released on GOG despite being available DRM-free on a smaller competitor store, so who knows? Maybe GOG could make a deal with TenCent to have the 1C games that were here add DRM and be available to purchase only through the new app in the GOG Galaxy 2.0 store that lets users buy DRMed games from Epic. That would be much more conveeeenient!
Powerslave could be removed, but take the information with a grain of salt, since the source is an article from gaming news site (shrug), and they tend to overread the situation to make the articles longer.

In short, a remake could be in the works, and sadly new version usually means old version getting axed.

An enhanced edition of Powerslave has been official at least ever since the release of the DOS version here:

EA is remaking Dead Space, so therefore, the original Dead Space will probably be removed from GOG before that remake comes out.

That is especially so since EA probably won't be releasing the remake version on GOG, in which case they wouldn't be able to bundle the original version with the remake version on GOG, thus leaving removal as the only remaining option (other than allowing the original game to stay on GOG as is, and thus compete with their new remake product of the same game, which EA is very unlikely to do).

That's quite a lot of assumptions there...

With previous games that EA have remade or remastered they have kept the original version on the store if available, for example on Origin You can still purchase the original Mass Effect Trilogy despite Legendary Edition being available, you can also still buy the original Command & Conquer and Re Alert games even though the remaster is still available.

The only exception to this is some racing games (Burnout and Need for Speed) but those do have multiple licenses to deal with as well as online functionality that would need maintenance so it probably isn't worth keeping both versions up.

Kind of glad to hear this.
I bought this version without realizing it was the original dos port.

Hopefully a remake could be released with all the saturn console extras put in and have the dos version bundle with this.

Its been known for a few months that Jungle Book was going to the Aladdin/Lion King collection and now its been removed from Steam since the new release is coming pretty soon. Steam codes are still up on grey market sites for super cheap but your last chance to buy it at a super expensive price on GOG as a stand alone game:

Thank you for the info. A real bummer that Disney doesn’t allow for the DOS version to be bundled as a goodie with their rerelease versions :/. Cheers
