UPDATE: They've removed the marking! One can just conclude that they intend to make Galaxy mandatory in the furure. THANKS GOG! :P

Original post:
After 3000 votes they finally marked my wish with "in progress":

That's great, but I don't want them to get the wrong idea; I'd love Galaxy on Linux.
"Optional" as in you get to choose where on your body they tatoo your Galaxy id number?
They've already quit keeping the GOG Downloader up-to-date. :(

Well, they can release a linux client and leave it optional. No contradiction here.
Well I hope that it will be optional. No need for any client is major asset of GOG for me.
you do realize that they can keep it "in progress" and don't actually do anything because it specifies "until the end of time".
WTF! The marking is gone! Are you fu**ing kidding me GOG!?

LOL
Was trying to download Saints Row 2 for a few days now. But by connection was not that good for some days, and slow too. And Galaxy kept loosing progress each time it was restarted (e.g. every next day), sometimes partially, sometimes constantly.
Then today I tried tethering my phone's connection to download, but Galaxy hardly made use of the bandwidth available. Finally downloaded the GOGDownloader, and behold, it is downloading at the maximum speed the connection supports. So Galaxy still appears far from a well polished product. And I know this won't probably happen but it wold have been good if they continued maintaining the Downloader.

I use Galaxy and it has it's positives, but having options is always good.
And when will Galaxy get a proper download manager and download resuming, or am I missing something.

Where does the above even mention DowloadThemAll?

All they are asking for is for Galaxy to continue with their connection.
yes but if galaxy is purely optional, why do they have to use it for downloads? ;)

All due respect, I don't believe he was talking to you. Good day.

Very handy having the ability to add new threads to a download.
