Halo (I don't hate it, although I don't think its such a good game.)

Don't even get me started on that one.

Also, Assasins' Creed, and GTA all of them.

You don't need to say anything more. I second it.
The Modern Warfare series. Not that they couldn't have been good games, it is just the amount of 10 year olds on multiplayer who just run around lobbing grenades and dying, and pretending to be tough when they wouldn't even look me in the eye in person.

Kaidane: I'm probably going to be skewered for this, but uh...Deus Ex.

Having put several hours into it (a lot, trust me), I just can't see the hype behind it. The story was uninteresting, the voice acting was borderline horrendous, and it bored me to death. It's certainly not a terrible game, just not as remarkable as I had hoped it would be.
I had the same reaction the first time I played. Set it aside for one year. Booted it up with a "what the heck" mentality.

Beat it. Proclaimed it's the best game I've ever played.

I still proclaim it so.
Halo's really popular in the mainstream, I'll grant, but it seems that most serious "gamers" who get on forums and so forth (i.e. not Xbox Live people) seems to love to hate it. I'd put this in the opposite category, to be honest, as a game which I thought was pretty fun but that all the internet people hate. It's very rare that I hear a good word said for it in these kinds of circles.

I loved the first one when it came out. It was the reason I bought an xbox. 2 and 3 were horrendous, though, especially 2. I was also 13 years old when the first one came out, so it might just be a case of nostalgia.

Like Labyrinth. Saw it as a kid so I like it today, but its probably is no good.

I can see the appeal of just about any popular game, even if I don't like it myself.

The only exceptions are some of the current social games like Farmville, which don't even attempt to hide that they are nothing more than cash grabs by developers preying on the brain's pleasure centre, like digital slot machines.
Hate is too strong a word to describe my disinterest in rhythm games such as Guitar Hero. The genre simply lacks sufficient depth to hold my attention.

I've been playing guitar for 10 years now, and I say hate is too weak a word. Only because people ask me if I play it all the time, and if they're similar. No, guitars don't come with different colored buttons unless they were meant for children and each button plays 20 seconds of a Miley Cyrus song.

Also, every game that had Mario in it after Super Mario Bros 3. When should a character be retired? He's like Frasier for god sakes.
Borderlands. Oh, fuck this game and the developers it rode in on. I do not want to spend half the game running all over the map.

Bioshock. Man, I love narrative, story, themes, all that good stuff. This game had them, and I liked them, at least until the part where I gave it up. That part would have been right when they asked me to start taking pictures. Are. You. Fucking. Kidding. Me. I'm not goddamn Jimmy Olsen!

LordGremlin: Call of Duty: Modern Warfail 2

Graphics are bad, animation - sub-par
dunno how you can support this part...the game was beautiful if nothing else
Beyond Good & Evil (I so hate this one especially!)
Metroid: Other M (The controls and story are utter crap!)
FF7: Crisis Core. Possibly the worst action RPG I've ever played, I stopped about ten hours into it because the story was not sufficient to make up for the ludicrously awful controls.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2... make that the whole series...
Halo Series..
Bioshock

WoW... Not because I haven't enjoyed it myself but because it seems absorb all the players and eat most of the compettitors in the mmo genre making the genre boring.
Games I hate that seem to be loved:

Halo Series
COD: MW2
COD: WaW
World in Conflict (ok so this one's old but it had a lot of fans when it came out... I bought it and hate it)

There's not too many games I hate, these are about it. Also, I can't stand RTS games, so I guess you could put SC2 on the list, even though I've only played the trial.
