Grim Fandango and Full Throttle for the DS, to be sure...

captfitz: absolutely understandable

sadly though, I did that prior to reading this thread.
Hmmm... Somehow, I feel inclined to doubt that this is anything I'll be excited about.
Not that I WANT to be a buzzkill, but honestly, what are the odds that Lucasarts is going to announce the sale of its older games on GoG or Telltale or even that it's going to remake the golden oldies into a new package? I would guess "rather low."
It's not impossible, but I don't think the people at lucasarts are unaware of how much their old junk is worth. Check out how much the Sega CDs are worth on Ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=%22the+secret+of+monkey+island%22&_sacat=See-All-Categories
...And here's how much the PC version is worth on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_vg_0_18?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=the+secret+of+monkey+island&sprefix=the+secret+of+monk
This is how things have stood with Lucasarts for years. And yet, they've done nothing about it. Clearly, they believe that there's more money to be made in pursuing other interests.

Jesus, I didn't know they cost that much. I have the Lucasarts Archive edition of Curse, but I don't know where it is, somewhere in my parent's house :(
One man's trash is truly another man's treasure.
One more remake and I go into boycott mode.
They've ruined Monkey Island, I won't have them ruining anything else.
Ah, yes, remakes. Another reason why MI is not likely to ever appear on GoG.

You haven't even played the game yet.

How could it possibly be ruined if they have included the complete original game along with the remake you can access with a single button?
Basically because it's Joe and he likes trolling :D
Anyway, if it meant LucasArts on GoG it would be ... Awesome, and I'd probably start to believe in god. Probably :D ... well, guess not :D And the first game GoG should get would be ... Dun dun dun dun dunnnnn... Sam & Max! I can't help myself, I wanted to play the original for such a long time :-(
The Joe a troll, never!
I still stand by my original observation that lucas arts coming to gog would be so big that we would of had some word from gog about it. They put out teasers about other publishers/developers.
Remake == Ruin
Same thing happens with games as it does with movies, just go and watch the new version of The Day the Earth Stood Still if you want to know what I mean.

Are you a member of No Mutants Allowed perchance?

TheJoe: Remake == Ruin

Why?
All they're doing is adding better hand-painted graphics and music. The gameplay will be 100% the same (as shown by the option to switch to the classic version at any point), bar a new user interface.
You seriously need a dewhinifier lotion. Maybe I should suggest they add that to the Monkey Island 2 "Remake", along with the other stuff in the Voodoo Lady's shop.
