or they're announcing they're going to talk to you about a distribution line, which wouldn't make sense to do that publicly unless they already had talked to you, which goes back to this being a clever rouse, you clever boy.

There's a grace period for post merge I think. It needs to be longer.

The grace period is definitely longer than 1 minute (the time between Wec's two posts). I've double-posted as much as 5 minutes apart and had it merge.
