Oh yeah. Obviously my coffee level is too low. To the coffee cave! And by that I mean the kitchen.

liquidsnakehpks: you know you would almost feel bad that gog was not attacked , dont take this seriously but think just a small attack and our drm free site would have been in news with the big ones and free publicity and sympathy .
avatar
Wishbone: Would have been a nice angle too: "While Steam and Origin users were locked out of their games during the attack, GOG users were happily playing their games without any problems."
haha that would have been awesome

TDP: I wish they did it and then said it's because they're against DRM. If it's part of a political act, then I see this as a legitimate form of civil disobedience.
I'd just like to have the right to dickpunch every one of those people taking part in a civil disobedience manifestation which directly affects me.

There was something like this a year or so ago, when some peaceful people were blocking some subway entrances and other public buildings. Yeah, I wish I could just gas those fuckers, but what do I know, I'm just a fucking commie.

Ah, my favorite petulant child has come to grace the conversation with his keen insight and wit. Oh, joy.

Sorry jamo but I don't have a lot of time to waste on you. You'll have to feed on someone or something else.

How about sticking to this thread's topic? Do you think you can manage that?

Speaking of which, the Steam Store is accessible again here finally but now the encore deals have all expired. This doesn't affect me personally but it is too bad the perpetrators screwed some people over probably. I thought Valve might extend them a day but I guess not. I haven't seen any acknowledgement anywhere by them about this issue and maybe we won't.

Steam Community is up again here too.

yesterday i had this pop up STEAM® SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT asking to agree, when i disagree steam closed. but its not there today
What these people did was beyond a joke. They cost Valve, lots of money(by denying customers access to the store to take advantage of the last day of sales). <- Yeah, I know some people here don't care because Valve is a big corporation and they promote DRM. But they also cost innocent gamers, lots of money(by denying them access to the store and taking advantage of the last day of sales). They also ruined the night for many innocent gamers(the people who use these services). I hope the world recognizes them as douchebags because they are douchebags, Fucking with innocent gamers and costing innocent gamers money to troll someone makes you a douchebag.

*goes way off-topic now* ;)
Thanks for posting that. Put it on the top of my Netflix DVD list. I think the last really good German flick I've seen was the somewhat depressing 'The Lives of Others', funnily also dealing with East Germany...

Wishbone: I meant that such reports could have been made if GOG had been targeted along with Steam and Origin. The only thing it would prevent us from doing would be buying new games, downloading games and posting on the forum. We would have no problem installing games already downloaded, or playing games already installed.
That would have been sweet. I'm a Steam user myself so obviously one of the affected people when DDOS arrives but like Crosmando mentioned earlier this is a ridiculously small issue for an individual gamers' perspective, but at the same time it's nice to see that DRM-free has its uses. Then again I think offline would have turned on automatically like it always does for me even if I'm in a game currently (single player) and can continue to play like nothing happened so again, a slight overreaction.

Just out of curiousity, anyone here that was directly affected that was in a non-multiplayer game when they were DDOSed?

Seems like trusteft did, while trying to finalize installation of Civ V (aka get the CEG executable).

Nope! Because even the faint memory of how you embarrassed yourself in the Grimoire thread is way more interesting than some denial of service attacks.

Crosmando: No he's right, DDoS attacks are meaningless, and happen all the time. 7 billion people and people get spastic over 1 script kiddie with too much free time using an open-source program freely available on the net.

Get a life. The only people doing the real hacking these days are getting paid by the US government.
I think , it's YOU which need a life, you are a complete moron, a DDOS attack could put you in jail , if you don't understand that , you are just as idiot as the perpetrators of the attacks.

Sometimes i think a mod , should ban you from those forums for a while , to teach you a lesson .... sigh ....

The only one embarrassing himself right now, is you. He took a stand and was wrong at a time and you were right. Now you feel the need to haunt him and rub it in his face again and again? Pathetic.
